Master two meanings of “clean” in this lesson.Teaching preparation: CAI, word cards and tape recorderLesson periods:1Teaching procedure:Step 1: Warm-up1. Greeting2. A. Lets do. Do and say following the music.3. T does and Ss say the relative phrases: open the door; turn on the light4. Ask one S to come to the front to do actions about “clean”. Others guess what he does.Step 2: Presentation B. Lets talkAsk one short S to come to the front to help hang a picture on the top of the blackboard which is beyond his/her reach. Then T says: “You cant do the job. Let me help you.” Meanwhile, hang the picture there; help Ss understand the meaning and usage of “Let me help you”.2. Work in 4. Pretend one S is doing sth. Difficult, other three Ss are willing to help and say: “Let me help you.” one by one.3. Lead to the situation.T: Wu Yifan, Mike, John and Zhang Peng are in the classroom. They want to clean the classroom. Lets see what they are doing now.4. Play the recording in “B lets talk” part. Then ask questions:1) How many students are there in the classroom?2) Who helps Mike?3) Who cleans the windows?5. Play the recording again. Imitate together. Pay attention to the intonation and pronunciation.6. Work in 6 to show the dialogue.
