Unit 4 Then and nowPart ALet's tryLet's talk教学导航一、教学目标1能听、说、认读词汇star、easy、look up和Internet。2能熟练掌握句子“There was no library in my old school.”“Tell us about your school,please.”“How do you know that?”“There were no computers or Internet in my time.”。3运用句型“There was (no).”“There were.”谈论过去存在和不存在的事物。二、教学重点、难点区分对话中的一般现在时和一般过去时,并能灵活运用句型“There is/was/are/were.”。三、教学准备单词卡片、教学光盘和多媒体课件。教学过程Step 1:Review&Lead in(复习&导入) 1师生自由对话,谈论现在的学校。T: Do you like our school?Ss: Yes.T: Which place do you like best?S1: I like. best.S2: I like. best.【设计意图】师生自由对话的同时,引导学生复习学校设施类的单词。2情境导入。教师在课件上呈现本单元主情景图,引导学生猜测Wu Yifan的爷爷现在在哪里,导入新课。Step 2:Presentation&Practice(新课呈现&当堂操练)1教师请学生读Let's try部分的题预测答案,然后播放录音,学生完成课本上的听力练习;再听一遍录音,师生共同核对答案。2教师用PPT展示Wu Yifan目前学校的图片,并请一名学生介绍学校现在的情况。例如:There is a library in his school.教师用PPT出示Wu Yifan以前学校的图片,并介绍以前学校的情况“There was no library in his school.”,引导学生理解并教读这个句子。对照板书上的这两个句子,引导学生观察比较:There is a library in his school.There was no library in his school.将 is、was标注出来,引起注意,强调区别。3请学生继续观察新旧学校图,并模仿前面的句型,对比介绍computer room。例如:There is a computer room in his school. There are many computers in it. There was no computer room in his school. There were no computers, either.4Grandpa 作为guest来到Wu Yifan 的学校,一起来听听“What are they talking about?”。教师播放Let's talk录音,学生思考问题,并做出判断:There was a library in Grandpa's old school. (×)There was only one small building on a hill. ()He couldn't see stars at night. (×)There are computers now. ()5学生自学对话,并回答“What was Grandpa's school like?”,学生分小组讨论,然后全班汇报。全班讨论时,结合上下文帮助学生理解单词star、easy、Internet和句型“How do you know that?”“Tell us about your school, please.”。6教师播放录音,学生跟读,然后分小组读。Step 3:Consolidation&Extension(巩固&拓展)1学生分角色表演对话,请几组上台表演,教师予以指导。2替换其中的关键词,如library、computer等,重新编写对话,并表演对话。3指导学生完成书上Draw and talk的练习。要求学生画出自己五年前的学校以及现在的学校,并向组员一一介绍变化,运用句型“There was/were.”“There is/are.”来对比描述,其他成员评价、纠正并学习。Step 4:Summary(小结)本课我们重点学习了Wu Yifan爷爷参观学校,对比学校的以前和现在,学习词汇star、easy、look up和Internet,学习运用句型“There was (no).”“There were.”谈论学校的过去。Step 5:Test(当堂微测)用所给词的适当形式填空。1There _(is) no library in my old school.2Could you see _(star) at night?3The Americans _(take) about five days to get there in 1969.4I _(look) it up on the Internet.5There _(are) no computers or Internet in my time.
