Listen and sing a songThe zoo.教学重点及处理方法使用“be going to ”讲述自己的计划和即将发生的事情。着重操练be going to教学难点及处理方法使用“be going to ”讲述自己的计划和即将发生的事情。学情分析学生由于刚接触英语不久还存在着学习方法和学习策略经验不足等问题但他们却有着极强的求知欲和表现欲。教学过程Unit 1 Were going to Hainan tomorrow.Step 1: Warm up 1. Greetings. 2. Sing a song “Im listening to music.” And do the actions.教学过程Step 2: Revision 1.Teacher introduces: Hello! Im Ms Hu. Im from China. Then introduces two new friends in screen. (Xiaoyong and Sam). 2. T: This is Ms Smart. Shes from England, too. She wants to know: Where are you going during the holidays? What are you going to do this weekend? After learning, you can tell her your trips and plans in English. Step 3: Presentation T: Today, were going to learn Module 7 Travel Unit1 Were going to go to Hainan. (Write the theme on the blackboard) 1. Point to the theme and read. Hainan Hainan go to Hainan Im/Were going to go to Hainan. Explain that be going to means “将要”. Its used to talk about plans. 2. T (Taking out a ticket): Next week is a holiday. Im going to go to Hainan. Look! This is the ticket. Where are you going to? Show some pictures of certain places. Get students to say the chant. Beijing Beijing go to Beijing Were/Im going to go to Beijing. Shanghai Shanghai go to Shanghai Were/Im going to go to Shanghai. 3. Play a game. (Quick Response) 4. T: How can you go to Beijing? Can you walk to Beijing? No, you cant. How can you go to Beijing? Go by plane or by train? 5. Shows a picture of a plane: Go by plane. Go by plane. Im going to go by plane. Practice with some other pictures: car /jeep /bike /train 6. Shows some pictures of actions. Let students to say out the phrases (Quick response): read a book/listen to music/row a boat /play chess. 7. Introduce new phrases: swim in the sea, play on the beach, get up at 5 oclock, visit my grandpa 8. T: What are you going to do this weekend? Let students to make sentences with the phrases weve learnt. S: Im going to read a book. Im going to swim in the sea. Step 4: Learn the dialogue 1. Let students to look at the screen and listen. Then explain the story. 2. Let students to look at the screen again and repeat. 3. Get students to answer the following questions: Where are they going to go tomorrow? When are they going to get up? Are they going to go by plane? What is Sam going to do in Hainan? What is Xiaoyong going to do? Whose swimsuit is this? Step 5: Consolidation 1.Play a game. Let four students to write the names of the places on each paper. Hold up the paper and say out the places they want to go: Im going to go to Hong Kong / Qingdao. Let the other students to choose where they want to go and stand behind. 2. (Act as Ms Smart) T: Now, boys and girls. Im Ms Smart. Please tell me: Where are you going to go on holidays. What are you going to do this weekend? Talk about your trips and plans. Discuss in groups first. Then report. Step 6: Homework Listen to the tape twice.Module 7 TravelUnit 1 We're going to go to Hainan.I. Get four large pieces of paper and write the following words on them. Chinese English Japanese American 1.Place the words on the walls around the class. 2.Tell the ss that you are going to call out the names of the countries and they have to point and say the adjectives.Examples T:England. Ss:English. T:China. Ss:Chinese. 3.This will help the ss with the listening passage in the next section.II. Listen and point. 1.Tell the ss to close their books. 2.Now tell them that you are going to play the tape and they have to listen and write down the names of the countries they hear.Teaching tip Always try to find a simple activity to introduce the listening to the ss . We call these "gist activities".They get the ss to focus on the listening but not to listening the ss have to listen for the names of countries. 3.Now get the ss to open their books and to follow the story. 4.Tell the ss to look at the story carefully. On the board write the following things. Hainan 5 o'clock by plane Grandpa 5.Tell the ss to say sentences from the dialogue using these key words. Examples T:Hainan. Ss:We're going to Hainan tomorrow. T:Grandpa. Ss:I'm going to visit my grandpa. 6.Continue like this.It will get the ss to focus on the key language.III. Point and say. 1.You may want to extend this activity.Tell the ss to think of one thing they are going to do tomorrow and to draw a simple picture of it. 2.Now call out the names of the ss and get them to stand up and say what they are going to do tomorrow. 3.They should hold up their pictures .If anyone else has drawn the same thing ,they should stand up and say the same sentence, but add the word "too". Examples T:Maria. Maria:I'm going to play tennis. Ss(with the same picture):I'm going to play tennis,too. T:Paul. Paul:I'm going to ride my bike. Ss(with the same picture):I'm going to ride my bike ,too. 4.This is a good activity for helping the ss to understand the word "too" and for practising the future with "be going to".
