奥巴马演讲DeclarationofCandidacy竞选宣言奥巴马演讲:DeclarationofCandidacy竞选宣言DeclarationofCandidacy竞选宣言2007年2月10日，伊利诺伊州首府斯普林菲尔德市NEWHAMPSHIREPRIMARYNIGHTJanuary8,2020|Nashua,NewHampshireIwanttocongratulateSenatorClintononahard-foughtvictoryhereinNewHampshire.Afewweeksago,nooneimaginedthatwedhaveaccomplishedwhatwedidheretonight.Formostofthiscampaign,wewerefarbehind,andwealwaysknewourclimbwouldbesteep.Butinrecordnumbers,youcameoutandspokeupforchange.Andwithyourvoicesandyourvotes,youmadeitclearthatatthismomentinthiselectionthereissomethinghappeninginAmerica.ThereissomethinghappeningwhenmenandwomeninDesMoinesandDavenport,inLebanonandConcord,comeoutinthesnowsofJanuarytowaitinlinesthatstretchblockafterblockbecausetheybelieveinwhatthiscountrycanbe.ThereissomethinghappeningwhenAmericanswhoareyounginageandinspiritwhohaveneverbeforeparticipatedinpoliticsturnoutinnumbersweveneverseenbecausetheyknowintheirheartsthatthistimemustbedifferent.Thereissomethinghappeningwhenpeoplevotenotjustforthepartytheybelongtobutthehopestheyholdincommonthatwhetherwearerichorpoor,blackorwhite,LatinoorAsian;whetherwehailfromIowaorNewHampshire,Nevada,orSouthCarolina,wearereadytotakethiscountryinafundamentallynewdirection.ThatiswhatshappeninginAmericarightnow.ChangeiswhatshappeninginAmerica.YoucanbethenewmajoritywhocanleadthisnationoutofalongpoliticaldarknessDemocrats,independents,andRepublicanswhoaretiredofthedivisionanddistractionthathavecloudedWashington;whoknowthatwecandisagreewithoutbeingdisagreeable;whounderstandthatifwemobilizeourvoicestochallengethemoneyandinfluencethatsstoodinourwayandchallengeourselvestoreachforsomethingbetter,theresnoproblemwecantsolvenodestinywecannotfulfill.OurnewAmericanmajoritycanendtheoutrageofunaffordable,unavailablehealthcareinourtime.Wecanbringdoctorsandpatients,workersandbusinesses,DemocratsandRepublicanstogether;andwecantellthedrugandinsuranceindustrythatwhiletheyllgetaseatatthetable,theydontgettobuyeverychair.Notthistime.Notnow.Ournewmajoritycanendthetaxbreaksforcorporationsthatshipourjobsoverseasandputamiddle-classtaxcutintothepocketsoftheworkingAmericanswhodeserveit.Wecanstopsendingourchildrentoschoolswithcorridorsofshameandstartputtingthemonapathwaytosuccess.Wecanstoptalkingabouthowgreatteachersareandstartrewardingthemfortheirgreatness.Wecandothiswithournewmajority.Wecanharnesstheingenuityoffarmersandscientists,citizensandentrepreneurs,tofreethisnationfromthetyrannyofoilandsaveourplanetfromapointofnoreturn.AndwhenIamPresident,wewillendthiswarinIraqandbringourtroopshome;wewillfinishthejobagainstAlQaedainAfghanistan;wewillcareforourveterans;wewillrestoreourmoralstandingintheworld;andwewillneveruse9/11asawaytoscareupvotes,becauseitisnotatactictowinanelection,itisachallengethatshoulduniteAmericaandtheworldagainstthecommonthreatsofthetwenty-firstcentury:terrorismandnuclearweapons;climatechangeandpoverty;genocideanddisease.Allofthecandidatesinthisracesharethesegoals.Allhavegoodideas.Andallarepatriotswhoservethiscountryhonorably.ButthereasonourcampaignhasalwaysbeendifferentisbecauseitsnotjustaboutwhatIwilldoasPresident,itsalsoaboutwhatyou,thepeoplewholovethiscountry,candotochangeit.Thatswhytonightbelongstoyou.Itbelongstotheorganizersandthevolunteersandthestaffwhobelievedinourimprobablejourneyandralliedsomanyotherstojoin.Weknowthebattleaheadwillbelong,butalwaysrememberthatnomatterwhatobstaclesstandinourway,nothingcanwithstandthepowerofmillionsofvoicescallingforchange.Wehavebeentoldwecannotdothisbyachorusofcynicswhowillonlygrowlouderandmoredissonantintheweekstocome.Wevebeenaskedtopauseforarealitycheck.Wevebeenwarnedagainstofferingthepeopleofthisnationfalsehope.ButintheunlikelystorythatisAmerica,therehasneverbeenanythingfalseabouthope.Forwhenwehavefaceddownimpossibleodds;whenwevebeentoldthatwerenotready,orthatweshouldnttry,orthatwecant,generationsofAmericanshaverespondedwithasimplecreedthatsumsupthespiritofapeople.Yeswecan.Itwasacreedwrittenintothefoundingdocumentsthatdeclaredthedestinyofanation.Yeswecan.Itwaswhisperedbyslavesandabolitionistsastheyblazedatrailtowardfreedomthroughthedarkestofnights.Yeswecan.Itwassungbyimmigrantsastheystruckoutfromdistantshoresandpioneerswhopushedwestwardagainstanunforgivingwilderness.Yeswecan.Itwasthecallofworkerswhoorganized;womenwhoreachedfortheballot;aPresidentwhochosethemoonasournewfrontier;andaKingwhotookustothemountaintopandpointedthewaytothePromisedLand.Yeswecantojusticeandequality.Yeswecantoopportunityandprosperity.Yeswecanhealthisnation.Yeswecanrepairthisworld.Yeswecan.Andsotomorrow,aswetakethiscampaignsouthandwest,aswelearnthatthestrugglesofthetextileworkerinSpartanburgarenotsodifferentthantheplightofthedishwasherinLasVegas;thatthehopesofthelittlegirlwhogoestoacrumblingschoolinDillonarethesameasthedreamsoftheboywholearnsonthestreetsofLA;wewillrememberthatthereissomethinghappeninginAmerica:thatwearenotasdividedasourpoliticssuggests;thatweareonepeople;weareonenation;andtogether,wewillbeginthenextgreatchapterinAmericasstorywiththreewordsthatwillringfromcoasttocoast;fromseatoshiningsea.Y
