Section B 2a-2c (阅读课) 教学设计 交口二中 吴海霞一、 教材分析本课时是八年级(下)第三单元Section B(2a-2c)阅读部分。阅读语篇从家长的角度出发,针对学业负担日趋加重的今天,孩子是否承担家务劳动展开讨论,有意识地训练学生的思辨能力,锻炼他们的批判性思维。 二、学习目标 1.能熟练掌握并灵活运用本课的重点词汇:stress, waste, provide, depend, develop, independence ,anyway,fairness, since, neighbor, ill, drop,independent. 2.能熟练掌握并灵活运用下列常用表达: a waste of their time,in order to do sth. ,provide sth. for sb.=provide sb. with sth. depend on sth, develop children' s independence ,the idea of fairness, do ones part in doing sth, the earlierthe better, there is no need forto do sth. It is one's job to do sth. 3.能读懂“做家务活动”话题的议论类文章,练习使用“略读策略”4. 正确理解做家务活的利和弊。学会照顾自己,培养自己的独立意识,并主动去帮助家人做家务。 三、文化意识 向同伴交代中国父母对待孩子做家务的观点。 四、学习策略: 1.学会通过阅读中心句的方式把握文章大意的技巧。2.通过信件转述、就有关青少年在家里是否应该做家务的发表自己的看法以及短文填空等活动,学生能熟练掌握并灵活运用目标词汇。五、 教学重点和难点 教学重点学生能读懂“做家务活动”话题的议论类文章,并能就有关青少年在家里是否应该做家务的话题发表自己的看法。 教学难点 学生能读懂“做家务活动”话题的议论类文章,并能就有关青少年在家里是否应该做家务的话题发表自己的看法。六、教学过程 Step 1 Warming up2a. Discuss the questions with your partner1) What do you often do to help your parents at home?2) Do you think kids should help out with chores at home?(通过和学生自由交谈引出本课时所谈论的话题)T:You have different ideas about doing chores.So do Ms. Miller and Mr.Smith. Ms. Miller thinks doing chores is parents job. Kids these days already have enough stress from school. Housework is a waste of childrens time. In order to get good grades ,there is no need for kids to do chores. Anyway(反正),it is the parents job to provide a clean and comfortable environment at home for their children. Mr. Smith thinks it is important for children to learn how to do chores . Children these days depend on their parents too much. Doing chores helps to develop children' s independence .It also helps them to understand the idea of fairness. They should know that everyone should do their part in keeping the house clean and tidy since (因为)they live in a house with their parents .Our neighbors (邻居的) son fell ill(生病)and his grades dropped (下降)during his first college year because he was independent .The earlier kids learn to be independent ,the better it is for their future.
