Greet the class.2. Free talk. Good morning, boys and girls. How are you? Very well, thanks. / Im fine, thank you. /Fine, thank you. Lets play/make a puppet/paint/ go to school! OK! / Great!/Good idea!3. Review the words learned cat, dog, duck, pig, bear by showing the word cards. Try to read and spell them. Check up some individuals.4. Listen and repeat the chant learned in last lesson.Step 2 Presentation & Practice1. Present the animals one by one by various ways, and ask the question Whats this? Help the Ss answer Its a cat/dog/duck/pig/bear.2. Board the sentence structure, then let the Ss ask and answer in teams. Play the chain game to check individuals.3. Look at the shadows and guess what it is. Invite volunteers to answer Whats this? Its a bear/ duck/ 4. Present the illustrations of the dialogue, have the Ss try to recognize and read the sentences by themselves. Then read together.5. Watch the video of the dialogue, listen and repeat sentence by sentence. Pay attention to the intonations, especially the last two sentences.6. Lets play. Have some Ss to imitate the sounds of the animals and ask “Whats this?” other Ss guess ” Its a .” according to the sounds.Step 3 Consolidation & Extension1. Open the books, point and read the dialogue.2. Read in roles.3. Ask the Ss to recite the dialogue and try to act it out.4. Invite some pairs of the Ss to act the dialogue out.5.
