Introduction Pablo Picasso(1881-1973), Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, draughtsman, designer, and ceramicist who spent most of his career in France. He was the most famous and prolific artist of the 20th century and exercised enormous influence on his contemporaries. Boy with a Pipe拿着烟斗的男孩 In 1905, at the age of 24, Pablo Picasso painted Boy with a Pipe soon after settling in France. It is an oil-on-canvas painting, which depicts a local boy who regularly visited Picassos Montmartre studio, holding a pipe in his left hand and wearing a garland of flowers.Head In Head, a portrait of Marie-Therese Walter, his mistress of the period, Picasso uses multiple-view Cubist techniques. He depicts Walters cheeks and breasts fragmented, reshaped, and integrated into the geometric forms of Cubism. Guernica 格尔尼卡格尔尼卡This is his greatest Cubist painting which was painted in his 30s in Madrid in 1937.It has big influence. It shows Germany air force attack a small city called Guernica in Spain. Picasso was so angry that he finished the painting only in a few weeks.
