He wanted to be a musician, so he learnt to play the cello(大提琴), and at the age of ten he won a scholarship to the National Institute for Blind Children in Paris. He could play the cello, but he couldnt read or write In 1819 a French soldier, Charles Barbier invented “night writing”. He used special dots on paper so that soldiers could read at night. Louis Braille understood the importance of this invention for blind people and when he was fifteen, he began to develop it. In 1829 he started to use it at the Institute By 1932, “Braille” was in use all over the world, but Louis died in 1852 and he never knew of the importance of his invention BrailleBraille is the system of six raised dots created in 1821 by Louis Braille. Its the only way through which the blind can learn to read and write. Bees fly in circle to inform their partners about food and danger. Like human beings, animals need to communicate with each other to survive. They do not speak to each other in the same way as we do; instead they use many different sounds and actions to express themselves. For example, bees make a buzzing noise, lions and bears growls, cats miaow, and dogs bark. If you see a cat standing with its back arched, head lowered or legs bent, it could be scared. If a dog growls at you, it probably is angry and you should be careful. Animal language is simpler than human language, but it shows how intelligent animals are. Do you think English is important?
