Discrimination-Factories shall employ workers on the basis of their ability to do the job, not on the basis of their personal characteristics of beliefs.· NO discrimination of any form· NO pregnancy test prior to employmentIV. Forced Labor- Factories shall not use any prison, indentured or forced labor.V. Child Labor- Factories shall employ only workers who meet the applicable minimum legal age requirement. · workers are AT-LEAST 16 years old (for China)· maintain complete and updated personnel records of ALL workers, with ID copies· “age-verification” procedures set and enforced· register and maintain list of all young workers (16 to 18 years old)· conduct annual medical checks for young workers· NO night-shift and hazardous work for young workersVI. Wages & Hours- Factories shall set working hours, wages and overtime pay in compliance with all applicable laws. Workers shall be paid at least the minimum legal wage or a wage that meets local industry standards, whichever is greater. Factories shall carry out operations in ways that limit overtime to a level that ensures humane and productive working conditions.· maintain updated local minimum wage document· pay AT LEAST legal minimum basic wage to ALL workers, including trainees· NO deposits (any form, including training, tool, material, uniform, dormitory etc), disciplinary wage deduction, penalties (any form), wage holding, etc.· pay OT premiums according to legal requirements (x1.5, x2 or x3 )· 10 National Holidays with pay (currently)· establish Annual Leave (with pay) policy· voluntary overtime work, with OT hours NOT more than 3 hours per day· one day off in seven· clearly itemized payroll records, with workers signatures· clear itemized & understandable pay-slips given to workers· pay wages within 30 days from cut-off dateVII. Working Conditions- Factories must treat all workers with respect and dignity and provide them with a safe and healthy environment. Factories shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding working conditions. Factories shall not use corporal punishment or any other form of physical or psychological coercion. Factories shall be sufficiently lighted and ventilated, aisles accessible, machinery maintained, and hazardous materials sensibly stored and disposed of. Factories providing housing for workers must keep these facilities clean and safe.· NO physical or verbal coercion· NO sexual harassment· written factory and dormitory regulations· set clear disciplinary (including warning procedures) & grievance handling procedures· provide safe, well lighted & ventilated environment with appropriate PPEs· drinking water available (for production floor & dormitory)· comply with electrical, machinery, fire safety, steam & power generation, sanitation rules & regulations· provide safe and sanitary dormitory (if any)VIII. Freedom Of Association- Workers are free to join associations of their own choosing. Factories must not interfere with workers who wish to lawfully and peacefully associate, organize or bargain collectively. The decision whether or not to do so should be made solely by the workers.· DO NOT stop workers from joining unions (if any)· encourage initiatives to set up workers welfare committee, safety committee, workers trainings & other empowerment programs. 【精品文档】
