Practice good grooming. Do have clean, neatly styled hair. Do have clean hands and trimmed nails. Do bring a clean notepad and pen that works. Do wear shoes you can walk easily in. Use an easy to read font, 10-12-font size. Use a font such as Times New Roman or Courier Have a lot of white space on your resume, make it easy to read. Use some graphics that are easy to read, such as bold, capital letters, underline, italics, or boxes, etc. Your resume should have visual impact! List accomplishments and skills. Lead with your strongest statement of your skills and qualifications . Use a heavy bond, quality paper. Correct all typographical, grammatical and spelling errors. Be neat, organized and professional. Use a laser printer . Effective application letters explain the reasons for your interest in the specific organization and identify your most relevant skills or experiences. They should express a high level of interest and knowledge about the position. They normally contain four parts in which you should: confirm that you wish to apply and say where you learned about the job; say why you are interested in the position and relate your interests to those of the company; show that you can contribute to the job by highlighting your most relevant skills and experience; indicate your wiliness to attend an interview. Keys to a Successful CV There are many important aspects to a CV or resume. Everyone has a different way of putting one together and, in most cases, there is no right or wrong way.
