According to me, there are several pieces of tips of self-study.First, I always make a study plan in the beginning of a new semester. Second, preview every unit before the lesson. When a good chance comes to you, but you dont work hard to complete the task, then you cant grasp the chance, so good luck passes you by and leaves you.
