Welcome to the unit is the 1 st part of this unit. Students will be presented with 4 pictures of different magnificent structures in ancient Greece, India, ancient Rome and China. Some of them have disappeared, while others remain today.What other ancient civilizations do you know about?Ask Ss to look at the 4 pictures on page 41 and try to recognize them.Do the 4 pictures have something in common? It works as I find many students are willing to express opinions. 以学生为主的课堂适合以单元导入为主的课时，有助于学生自由表达。I also noticed that preparations before class are significant.
