To know about the idioms which deal with animals in English-speaking countries.过程与方法1. With enough vocabulary support and practice, the students can talk about their favorite animals.2. To find useful information through different learning materials.情感、态度与价值观1. To help students be more interested in animals and show love for them2. To learn about what animals value to the people in English-speaking countries.教学过程教学过程教学环节教师活动学生活动活动目的1. Revision1. Vocabulary game called “ You describe, I guess”.Give instructions.2. Odd word outIts 1. Its a group competition. Contestants guess the words according to the explanation from their group. 2. Students find the word which doesnt belong to the group. 1. To go over the vocabulary theyve learned in the first two units, and to make preparation for the following activity.2. To consolidate more words which are not mentioned in part A2. Language practiceGuess out my favorite animal.Students guess what the favorite animal is by asking present simple questions.To practise the language pattern: “Does?” or “Is.?”3. ReadingPresent the cards and pictures to the studentsFirst, match the cards with the pictures. Students read the words in the cards and write down the questions they want to ask. Carry out “ask and answer” activity between two groups.To find specific information through reading.4. Listening1. Ask Ss to listen with purpose.2. Ask Ss to collect information1. With three questions in mind, students watch a video about dogs, and then answer the questions. 2. Group work.
