-Pride and Prejudice傲慢与偏见读后感-第 3 页Pride and PrejudiceJane Austen is one of the most admiring authors in England and also she is one of the important English novelists. Her writing style are humorous, meticulous and keen. Jane is never a romantic writer but a realistic and sensible one. In Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen mainly described relationships and manners of middle-class families in England. It mainly told the love story between Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy. Elizabeth had prejudice against Darcy, because she thought he had nothing without pride. Due to this, she rejected the proposal from Darcy. After many twists and turns, misunderstanding disappeared and they were happily united. Finally, Elizabeth found out something: her blindness, prejudice and absurdity. In this story, the love between Elizabeth and Mr.Darcy drew most of my attention, and I understood using pride and prejudice as theme, in order to show the meaning of main characters love and marriage. In the beginning of the article, Elizabeth had a misunderstanding and prejudice to him, also Darcy had his own pride to the girl even he love her. Their initial attitudes of the two toward each other made their love hard before thet could enter into a happy relationship together. Fortunately, Darcy made great improvement in his manner in order to make Elizabeth knew his heart. Actually, in our daily life, we showed pride and prejudice to each other and hided kindness and love. That is the reason why our society become more and more inhospitality. Now I will mainly introduce Elizabeth and her marriage with Darcy. In the 19th century, British women regardless of the economic, social, family status and ranks in male attachment, marriage maybe is the best system of equal pay. And the marriage based on money or benefit in novel.Every girl wanted to have a rich life when they got married, but Elizabeth is a girl who just like somebody she really care about and she doesnt really want to married with a rich man who her mother wanted. So in Elizabeth and Darcys marriage, it was quiet interesting that the woman without property really get married with a rich bachelor. In spite of money and marriage, love is a basic theme. We both know that love is important. Jane Austen thinks that marriage will not be happy without love. Marriage, property and social status are interconnected. But marriage could not only depend on the property and the social status. A happy marriage must be based on the mutual respect, mutual admiration and mutual love. In this work, Charlotte married a male she didnt real like. But Elizabeth and Darcys, Jane and Mr.Bingleys marriages are purely based on love and respect, I think. Jane and Bingley fell in love with each other at first ball but they didnt tell to opposite side. In the end, the y got together with true love. For Elizabeth and Darcy, there are many pride and prejudice between them at the beginning of the story,so they didnt show the mutual love. With the development of life, they slowly found advantages of each other and changed themselves in order to make counterpart happy. From the fiction, we can see that Austen fully expresses her views on the relationship among money, marriage and love. Only by appreciating the marriage found on the basis of mutual understanding and true love, but also by satirizing the marriage found on the basis of vanity and desire. In my opinion, Jane Austens views on marriage and love of mutual natures are still suitable . We youth should make right marriage and love views to orient our lives. Also we could realize some new rules and principles and get fresh ideas of interpersonal what may result in a better understanding of pride and prejudice.
