The translation of economic and trade correspondence is not only based on the written meaning, but more importantly, we need to learn how to flexibly translate in daily life, so as to realize barrier-free communication between the two cultures. The role of cultural differences in the translation of economic and trade correspondence cannot be ignored. As Nida, a famous American translator, said, to do a really good translation, it is even more important to master two cultures than two languages, because words have meaning only when they are used in a particular culture. However, China and the west are quite different from each other in terms of geographical gap. They have different historical backgrounds, customs and cultural traditions, so it is not easy for them to reach a consensus. The relationship between culture and language is a kind of mutual influence. If you want to skillfully use language, you need to have a deep understanding of culture. Since the leap of the Internet and China"s determination to reform and open up, China and foreign exchanges are very frequent and close, which has driven the economic development of the two countries. China"s accession to the WTO has promoted the development of the world economy. In the platform of the WTO, the economy has entered a virtuous circle of scale. On the Internet, China and western countries can"t facilitate transactions without economic and trade correspondence. Economic and trade correspondence is not only a mechanical conversion of language information, but also contains the differences in the way of thinking, cognition and values in different cultures. A standardized and decent correspondence translation can not only demonstrate a person"s language application ability, but also show the excellent image of an enterprise, which reflects the 4 professional level of a person or an enterprise and can win the trust in communication. Only when we have a deep understanding of each other thinking mode, cognitive mode and values, can we consider problems from each other point of view and reach a consensus. Without understanding the influence of cultural differences on the translation of economic and trade correspondence, it is difficult to maintain the relationship between us if we just copy the contents of textbooks for communication. Only by deeply understanding the influence of cultural differences on the translation of economic and trade correspondence, understanding the differences in thinking mode, cognitive mode and values between each other and coming up with solutions to the differences, can we communicate with each other more smoothly. Therefore, the significance of my research is to analyze the impact of cultural differences on the translation of business correspondence and propose measures to solve the impact. I hope that the research in this paper can leave some reference and thinking for those in need. I have consulted relevant materials and learned that there are not many articles on the topic of studying the impact of cultural differences on the translation of economic and trade correspondence. The translation studies on cultural differences mainly focus on the impact of cultural differences on the translation of business English and economic and trade English. The research topic of this paper can be regarded as a major innovation of the impact of cultural differences on the translation of economic and trade correspondence, because few people are currently studying this topic. The purpose of this study is to clarify the impact of different ways of thinking, cognitive styles and values on economic and trade correspondence in the translation of economic and trade correspondence, and by analyzing various influencing factors, put forward strategies to deal with the impact. 5 CHAPTER I RELEVANT BACKGROUND AND STATUS OF ECONOMIC AND TRADE CORRESPONDENCE 1.1 Research background and significance Hofstetter defined culture as the common psychological process of people in the same environment. Therefore, culture is not a personal trait, but a psychological process Shared by many people with the same social experience and educational background.Different groups, people in different countries or regions have different psychological processes, because they have received different education, have different societies and have different jobs, so they have different ways of thinking. The influence of different ways of thinking, cognition and values on translation cannot be ignored, because today is an era of science and technology, but also an era of win-win cooperation. To achieve social and national progress, we need win-win cooperation. Mutual cultural consensus and even closer exchanges are indispensable for win-win cooperation. To promote the close communication between the two countries needs a carrier, and this carrier is the translation of economic and trade correspondence. Translation of economic and trade correspondence not only reduces transaction costs and improves efficiency, but also increases opportunities for foreign trade and further changes the cost structure of foreign trade, which plays a promoting role in foreign trade economy. The economic and trade exchanges between the two countries rely on the translation of economic and trade correspondence to convey information to each other and promote cooperation. It is undeniable that the translation of economic and trade correspondence is an indispensable tool for the communication and cooperation between cou.
