Encourage students to find out their problems in selfstudying both in pronunciation and understanding.)Time for questions:Discuss the difficulties that most students have and explain the language points that most students can't understand.Step 1a Listen, Repeat & Count Play the recording, students try to repeat the numbers. Play games using the flash to arouse students interests and get familiar with numbers. Encourage students to play the game number chant to get familiar with the pronunciation.Step III Practice and Say Ask students to do some math problems. Show them some pictures of numbers. Have students read them quickly and correctly.Step IV 1b Listen ,Write & Practice“Listen to the conversation and try to write down the phone numbers”Encourage students to work in pairs and talk about each others phone numbers.Have them show their conversations. Ask them to talk about numbers in their lives such as QQ, we chat, IDStep V 1d 1e Listen, Match& Complete“Listen to the conversation try to match the names with the telephone numbers. You can just make clear the beginning of the numbers.”Play the tape for the first time, students write the letters on the lines. Check by asking them to read the numbers. Play the recording another time, ask them to complete the numbers. Have some of them show their answers.Step VI Pair work Encourage students to work in pairs to role-play the conversations using the information in 1d. Show and correct mistakes.Step VII Group work“Write your phone number on a piece of paper and put it in a bag. Then take out a piece of paper and find the owner” Students work in groups using the target language. Encourage them to make a survey and fill in the chart on screen.Step VIII Practice and Summary Have them do the exercises on the screen.
