But we must also consider the effect of the new technology on those who now depend on driving for their living. The companies developing self-driving vehicles should be partnering with states and federal authorities to offer retraining for this large workforce (劳动力). New technologies will, and should, be developed. This is how society moves forward. However, progress cant be one-sided.
