Good morning, everyone. Now Ill say junior Oxford English 8A Unit 3 Comic strips& welcome to the unit. Ill prepare to say the lesson from four parts.Part One Analysis of the Teaching Material(一)Status and FunctionThis is the first lesson of the unit.It aims to talk about the Worlds places of interest. Such a topic is related to daily life, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve their society sense. It can help students to attain “four skills” request of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Therefore this lesson is in the important position of the teaching material. (二)Teaching aims and Demands1.Knowledge objects(1).To introduce some interesting places in the world. (2). To guess the meanings from pictures.2.Ability objects(1) To talk about where and why to go using model sentences. (2)To act out the comic strips .3. moral objects To get Ss to learn about places of interest all over the world,and cultivate the Ss to love the nature.(三) Teaching key and Difficult point1. Key points:To introduce some interesting places in the world.2. Difficult points:(1).To talk about where and why to go using model sentences. (2)To talk about your own feeling on different places of interest.Part Two The Teaching Methods1. Communicative teaching method2. Audio-visual teaching method3. Task-based” teaching methodPart Three Studying Ways1.Teach the Ss how to be successful language learners.2.Let the Ss pass “Observation-Imitation-Practice”to study language.3.Teach the Ss how to master dialogues and how to communicate with others.Part Four Teaching Procedures Ill finish the lesson in four steps.Step1.Lead-in Have a free talk about their travelling experiences between T and Ss.Step2.Presentation1.Present a map of the world and encourage the Ss to say out the names of the foreign countries in English,such as the USA,the UK,Australia,and so on.2.Present some pictures of the famous places around the world.Help the Ss to learn sth about these famous places of interest.And ask some QS to answer. 3.Let Ss match the postcards with the correct pictures,and check the answers.4.Encourage the Ss to make up a conversation on a trip,use the dialogue in part B as a model.5.Ask a few pairs to present their conversations to the class.6.Show 4 pictures on page38 to the Ss then play the tape. Ss listen carefully and repeat.,then answer some QS.7.Act out the dialogue in front of the class.Step3.Practice 1.Retell the dialogue,and act out the dialogue with the partner. 2.Do exercises on PPT then check the answers.Step4.Homework1.Recite the new words and useful phrases. 2.Finish off the exercises in workbook.
