Well, it's time for us to have class.Class begins.Good afternoon, boys and girls. Good, sit down, please.第二讲:Step 1: 导入小结,review Elias's story,进入正题,The Rest of Elias's Story. Today we are going to learn the text: The Rest of Elias's Story. Please take out your textbook and then turn to page 38.Did you still remember what we learn last time? Yeah, so far we have read a story about Elias, right? And as we know, in order to support Nelson Mandela, Elias helped him blow up some government buildings. Can you imagine what would happen to him if he was caught? Actually, he was caught and then put into a prison on Robben Islands. Well , don't be confuse about the usage of should do and should have done, ok?4. make sb. do sth. 使.做.be made to do.(使役动词用于被动语态时,不定式不能省略to) Make作为使役动词时,后面可加上宾语和不带to的不定式,不带to的不定式(即非谓语动词)在这里作为sb.的宾语补足语,这种情况属于不定式的特殊结构,clear? 但是,诸如动词+宾语+动词不定式作宾语补足语的动词短语还有:want/encourage/educate/urge/persuade sb to do sth.等等,在这里,to do 不能省略。Got it?5. stop sb. from doing sth.=prevent /keep sb. from doing sth.( keep sb. from doing sth.中 from 不能省略) 这个短语大家在初中英语中都学过:阻止某人做某事。其中,from 可以省略,right?但是,在这个句子中应理解为被剥夺.我们平时在理解英语词汇在英语句子中的正确含义时应该寓词于境,即联系上下文,结合语境,context,从而正确理解好词义,而不能望文生义。understand?Can you translate the whole sentence into English?Now, I will ask a student to translate this sentence.他们所有的人都被禁止进入那栋新建的大楼。What about Chengchan, please? Ok, good, sit down, please.6. did pass 为强调结构,强调谓语动词时,在动词原形 前加do, does, did. For example, 他英语说得确实好。eg. He does speak English well. Now, let's come to exercise 1, the whole class, please. Choose what? Ok, now Let's continue.讲例句,总结语言点。Can you sum up the usage of the word:educate? educate sb. to do sth. 教育某人做某事。8. come to power = come into power 执政 in power 当权,执政9. Now, please pay attention to these two words: terror ,it means.(n.)恐怖,可怕的人或事 fear, it can use as noun and verb, it means. (n.)恐惧,可怕 给出例句,念一遍,for instance, next, let's look at these two sentences as follows:念例句。 So we should pay attention to this usage. fear + n./to do /that+ 从句( with the subordinate clause ) such as the predicative clause ;【拓展】Besides, 还有诸如for fear that.担心;be in fear 害怕等惯用表达。 for example, eg. She fears to speak in our presence. 当我们的面她不敢说。 eg. I fear that we cant protect ourselves. 恐怕我们保护不了自己。 (在这里that 引导宾语从句。)Besides, in order to complete the meaning of the whole sentence, here,we use amplification,that is a kind of methodology for translation.Came back to me,here, it means "it occurred to me that."or we can say "it reminded me of ." Now,please pay attention to the whole sentence, para2,line5 I remembered the beatings and the cruelty of the guards and my friends who had died.Here,beatings.这个英语单词在构词形式上有什么样的特点?是由动名词变成的名词,right?And can you give me some examples? For examples, surroundings, happenings, greetings, etc.因此,掌握构词法,有助于拓展词汇量。10. Analyze the structure and grammar points of the whole complex sentence . reward(n.)报酬,奖金;(vt.) 酬谢,给以报答 in reward for 作为报酬 reward sb. with sth. 拿某物报酬某人 eg. She got nothing in reward for her kindness. 她的好心没得到报答。 11. over=all over 全面地 eg. Please read the books several times over. 请把这些书反复读上几遍。 12. Well, now please finish exercise2 together, the whole class.No.1, choose what? Cat. No.2? Apple.Then, No.3? Also Cat, right? Next, what about No.4? Boy. Ok, the last one, choose? Dog.
