Generally speaking, they know some basic ways to write a composition, but they still need to learn systematic methods of writing a good suggestion letter. The teaching methods:I will adopt task-based language teaching and audio lingual teaching method. The task-based language teaching method is essential, especially in writing lesson because if without it, the students5 attention can5t be focused for a long time. With some tasks, students would know what they should do and know whafs the purpose of the writing. Besides, I will also let them practice oral English and writing sMIIs, so audio lingual teaching method is a good way.Teaching aims:1. And after that, students can learn some good sentence patterns.Step 8: polish writingThere are 2 ways to polish their writing. For example, polish a composition by improving handwriting and polish a composition by improving language.Step 9: do some exercisesTo learn how to adopt a variety of sentence patterns, I will let students change some simple sentences into some advanced sentence patterns, such as elliptical sentence, attributive clause, noun clause.Step 10: enjoy one possible versionI will ask a student who wrote a good suggestion letter to the front, and let her to read the writing and tell students why the composition is good.Step 11: summarizeAt the end of the class, I will have a summary of what we learned today.Step 12: homework assignmentAfter class, students should write a suggestion letter of how to make good friends by using the methods we learned today. The teaching reflection:In the writing class, I still need to change some of my teaching ways. For example, when the students meet some problems in writing, I should explain the problem to them in time and try to correct their writing languages. When it comes to the pair work, such as the free talk, some students can not express themselves clearly. As for the transition words, some students can speak a lot, but I only told them just to give me two word, which is not helpful to their study. I still need to give them some room to improve themselves. And in the whole class, my speed of speaking is too fast, and to some students may not catch my words and understand me clearly.
