英语演讲与辩论课程教学大纲一、课程基本信息课程代码:课程名称:英语演讲与辩论英文名称:Public Speaking and Debating in English课程类别:专业必修课学时:32学时学分:2学分适用对象:英语、翻译、商务英语专业本科生考核方式:考查先修课程:综合英语二' 课程简介本课程为英语专业必修课,翻译专业和商务英语专业选修课,在第五学期开设, 是培养英语、翻译、商务英语专业本科二年级学生演讲与辩论能力的重要课程。英语 演讲和辩论是训练学生英语表达能力、改善学生的思辨能力和提高学生对英语的实际 运用能力的有效手段。将英语演讲和辩论引入课堂,能有意识地把语言形式与社会语 境结合起来,最大程度地减少母语文化因素的干扰,创造良好的环境,培养学生的批 判性思维能力和语言能力。在此基础上,培养学生有意识坚持中国立场、发挥中国智 慧、传播中国价值的理念、主张和方案,在英语演讲和辩论中领会提高中国国际话语 权的重要性。“Public Speaking and Debating in English is an optional course set in the fourth semester for second-year undergraduates majored in English, Translation, and Business English. It is an important course for the training of their ability to participate in public speaking and debating.
