The first one has been done for you.Verb-ing forms as subjects : Verb-ing forms as objects : Working out the rules l When the verb-ing form is used as the subject of a sentence , we can sometimes use the preparatory subject it at the begining of the sentences.l The verb-ing form can also be used as the object of a _ or a _. 三、 合作研学（1）意义：动词-ing形式做主语往往表示经常性、习惯性的动作，其被动形式为being done.（2）谓语动词的数：单个的动词ing形式做主语时，谓语动词通常用单数形式；但是两个及以上的动词-ing形式做主语时，谓语动词要根据叙述的事来确定。如果是一件事，谓语动词要用单数形式；如果是两件或多件事情，谓语动词用复数形式。Saying is easier than doing. 说比做更容易。Being praised by his teacher made him regain confidence.被老师表扬使他重新获得了信心。Collecting stamps and watching movies are his hobbies.集邮和看电影是他的爱好。（3）动词-ing形式做主语时，如果要突出动作的执行者，要在动词-ing形式前加上其逻辑主语，这个逻辑主语要用名词所有格或形容词性物主代词，不能用名词的普通格或人称代词宾格。The students' knowing English well will help them to learn French. 学生学好了英语对他们学习法语有帮助。His missing the train caused him to stay in the city for another day. 他误了火车，导致他只得在那座城市再待一天。注意：动词-ing形式做主语时，有时用it做形式主语，而把真正的主语移至句尾。常见句型：It is no use/no good/a waste of time/useless. . . +doing sth. .It is a waste of time arguing with him. 和他争辩是浪费时间。It is useless learning a theory without practice.学习理论而不实践是没有用的。动词-ing形式经常放在以下动词（短语）后做宾语：avoid（避免），admit（承认），consider（考虑），delay（延期），enjoy（喜欢），finish（完成），imagine（想象），miss（错过），practise（练习），resist（抵抗），risk（冒险），suggest（建议），mind（介意），allow（允许），feel like（想要），escape（避开），require（需要），give up（放弃），insist on（坚持），look forward to（盼望）get down to ,feel like 等。动词（短语）后通常接动词-ing形式做宾语。He admitted having stolen the money in the safe.他承认偷了保险柜里的钱。All the staff in our company are considering going to the city center for the fashion show. 我们公司的所有员工都在考虑去市中心看时装秀。He got well-prepared for the interview, for he couldn't risk losing the good opportunity. 他为这次面试做好了充分的准备，因为他不能冒险失去这一良机。注意：以下动词（短语）接动词-ing形式做宾语和接to do做宾语意义不同：forget to do sth. 忘记要做某事forget doing sth. 忘记做过某事remember to do sth. 记得要做某事remember doing sth. 记得做过某事regret to do sth. 遗憾地去做某事regret doing sth. 后悔做过某事mean to do sth. 打算做某事mean doing sth. 意味着做某事can't help to do sth. 不能帮忙做某事can't help doing sth. 禁不住做某事try to do sth. 努力做某事try doing sth. 尝试做某事，试着做某事go on to do sth. 继续做另外一件事go on doing sth. 继续做同一件事stop to do sth. 停下来去做另一件事stop doing sth. 停止做某事（停止正在做的事）四、 教师导学1. _ (learn) to play an instrument isn't easy in the beginning.2.
