    2023年英语教师说课稿 Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.Its my pleasure to interpret my leon here today.The leon plan I am going to talk about is from SEFC Book 1A Unit 11 L42 American Country Music.Ill explain how to teach and why do so from the following 6 aspects: the theoretical basis, understanding of the teaching material, teaching methods and studying ways, teaching procedure, blackboard work and self-comments.The theoretical basis First, Id like to show my theoretical basisschema theory(图式理论).Leon 42 is a reading course.According to schema theory, reading comprehension is an interactive proce between the readers background knowledge and the text (Carrel and Eisterhold, 1983),or between new information and the old knowledge store (Anderson and Pearson, 1984).So in order to improve the students reading speed and reading comprehension, language teachers should try to activate the students old knowledge store and add more relevant background knowledge before they get the students to read. Learning condition The students in my cla are not good at English.They are lack of independent reading abilities and they know very little about American country music. II.Understanding of the teaching material My understanding of the teaching material includes 4 parts: the status and the function, the key points, the difficulties and teaching objectives.Ill not talk about them separately.Students condition The students in my cla are not good at English.They are lack of independent reading abilities and they know very little about American country music. Leon 42 is a reading course.Its mainly about the history and the development of American country music. and is the revision and further study of them.According to the national curriculum of English and language learning theory, when teaching reading, we should encourage the students to do speed reading for the time, thats to say, we should encourage our students to read as fast as they can when they do the first reading.So much emphasis should be put on reading skills and reading comprehension as well.Whats more, there are some important language items and sentence patterns we should carry out during the learning proce.Apart from this, we should widen Ss mind.So in order to fulfill the learning task of this leon, I make out the following objectives: a) Knowledge objectives Ss should have a full understanding of L42 after cla, and know some background knowledge.Then students will master some useful words and expreions such as remain, be angry with sb., make full use of and learn to retell and summarize a paage.b) Ability objectives Let students recognize they are the real master of the cla.In this cla, they will read, think and find out information by themselves most time, and they will talk to each other and expre their own opinion.Then the main objective of reading course is to improve the Ss reading ability.Ill train their ability of identifying the general idea and supporting details in the fast reading.And in intensive reading their ability of information-gathering and summarizing is developed.And the whole cla is for Ss to develop their reading skills as scanning, skimming, predicting and 1 gueing the new words from the context.Meanwhile, develop Ss speaking, listening and writing ability.c) Moral objectives Unit 11 Leon 42 is about American country music.Most of the students are interested in music.So I think teachers can make full use of the topic to increase Ss learning motivation and interest in English learning, and let them love music and be an all-round student.At the end of this leon, we will have a discuion about money.I want Ss to have a correct idea of money, love and be willing to help others.III.Teaching methods and studying ways Now lets focus on the ways of teaching and learning. First, of course, reading method is used in the reading course.Then, basing on the schema theory and the Ss in my cla, I apply the task-based method first.Before each step Ill give Ss the task and then they will have a clear idea of what to do, and try their best to achieve the aims.And also communicative method is used in consolidation and discuion.While learning the language points Ss will apply the fourth and fifth methods: analysis, summary, comparison, aociation and remembrance.Apart from this, Ill use an OHP, a tape recorder, pictures and a map of the USA as my teaching aids.Teaching procedure Here comes the most important part, my teaching procedure, it includes 6 steps: Step I: Greeting and Revision, Step II: lead-in, Step III: Reading, Step VI: Consolidation, Step V: Discuion and Step VI: homework.Step I: Greeting and Revision (2 minutes) It will cost 2 minutes.Ill ask a student to introduce John Denver to us according to the information on the slide, not simple recite.Thats the revision of leon 41 and the time for Ss to prepare for leon 42 psychologically.Step II: Lead-in (3 minute) It will cost 3 minutes.First Ill let Ss listen to the part of John Denvers “Take me home, country road” and ask them “What kind of music is it?” And then give them a brief introduction of American country music.While introducing, write down some words and expreions on Bb and ask Ss to read after me.Knowing some new words and information about text can help them understand it. Here, listening to the beautiful music is the training of Ss listening ability and can stimulate Ss interest in English learning.Whats more, Ss can feel American country music, and predict the content of the text before learning.Step III: Reading (25 minutes) Reading is the main part and it will cost 25 minutes.Here I adopt the task-based method and the up-downing reading model.Students are asked to get the general idea first, then down to some details.Reading contains 2 parts fast reading and intensive reading.1) Fast reading (twice) a) Read through the whole paage quickly and answer a general question.(Is American country music about modern life? No) Then Ill make a detailed inquiry “Whats it about?” and explain “the good old days”.Here train Ss reading skills: scanning and skimming and the ability of identifying the general idea. 2 b) Listen to the tape and divide the whole paage into 2 parts, the main idea of each part will be given.Because the Ss are not good at English, they need some help.And it can reduce the difficulty.Listening ability is trained here. 2) Careful reading / intensive reading Here will be a competition between boys and girls.a) Girls read Para 1-3, and boys try their best to fill in a form about the different subjects of American country music in different periods.After their reading Ill ask 3 boys to write down their answers on Bb then check them and then deal with some language points and tell them the background knowledge of each period, such as the competition in the 1990s, the war between America and Vietnam in the 1950s, and American racial Discrimination. This information can help Ss understand the text further, realized that music is the product of the whole society and widen their mind.b) Its boys turn to read para4-5; girls fill in another form about the development of American country music in 4 ways.The procedures are the same with part 1.c) As to Para 6, first ask Ss to describe the picture of “the good old days” then ask them “Do people mi the good old days? Why or why not?” Then the whole cla read together and answer the questions, and also deal with the language points.Here I want to mention that all the language points appear in the questions or answers and Ill deal with them in different ways.For the simple one Ill just explain them orally.While the difficult ones Ill explain them with examples, write them on Bb, translate or let Ss do some comparing exercises or make some sentences and so on. Step VI: Consolidation (6 minutes) Here Ss are an American country music singer and I am a journalist, Ill interview different Ss different questions.For example, “What did you sing about in 1990s? Why?” Here train their speaking and summarizing ability.And the last question will be “Whats the subject of your songs in the 1950s? Why?” We know the subjects are love and money.Then I can transit to the discuion naturally. Step V: Discuion (8 minutes) “Is money everything?” First Ill ask a girl in our cla who is crazy about money.Then Ill ask for others opinion.Ill ask those who say “No” “Whats the best thing for life?” May be someone will say music, then Ill ask them him/ her “Whats your favorite music? Why?” 4 Ss a group discu these topics and later ask some Ss to report their groups opinion.Here teacher is the guider who should remind Ss not only their own opinion but also others of their groups.Everyone will have the chance of speaking English.Communicative method is used to improve Ss speaking ability and communicative skills.
