必修第二册unit4 教学设计课程名称:必须第二册unit4 History and Traditions (reading and thinking)所授课时:1课时学情:高一的学生已经有了一定的词汇基础,掌握了一定高中英语学习的方法。但是大部分学生还缺少自主学习能力,和举一反三的能力.但是他们对于历史与文化的话题很感兴趣,因此经过教师的指导,学生们能够更加深入的了解英国的历史以及对自己国家的历史也有更加深入的思考。教学目标:During the class, students will be able to:1.grasp the content of the text and learn about the meaning of the name of UK.2.discuss why we should learn history.3.develop their cultural cofidence.重难点:1. 如何引导学生通过英国名称的变化进而掌握英国历史的发展;2. 如何适当的发展学生的举一反三能力以及批判性思维。教学方法:任务教学法;问题导向法教学过程:教学活动:设计意图 :Step1.leading inThe teacher will show students some pictures of map and ask students to guess what kind of map do they belong to .And teacher will invite students to present their opinions.And the teacher will expand their knowledge of different types of map.激发学生主动思考,开拓学生视野.Step2. Pre -readingThe teacher will ask students to think about the questions before reading the passage.1.What message can you get from the title?2.What might “a name” here refer to?3.What do you expect to read in the passage?And the teacher will invite several students to express their opinions about them.培养学生文章的预测能力以及英语语言表达能力。Step3. Reading1.The teacher will ask students to read the passage and answer the questions below.1.What is the full name of the UK?2.What message does its name convey?And ask students to show their answers as well as their reasons.2The teacher will ask students to scan the passage and find out the changes of its name from the passage, and check the answers with their partners.3.
