Im not a bit tired, so I neednt have a rest. Toms mother couldnt sleep well recently. She was not a little worried about Toms health. He is a bit like his father. He is a little like his father. The speaker spoke a bit louder in order to make himself heard more clearly. The speaker spoke a little louder in order to make himself heard more clearly. 当它们用作定语,表达“数量”时,a bit后要加of,a little 则不用。例如:She ate a bit of bread for lunch. She ate a little bread for lunch. 2. 但是,一旦否定,not a bit 和 not a little的意思就大不一样了,甚至相反。not a bit 意思是“一点也不”,相当于not at all,not in the least之意。例如:He is not a bit like his father. Are you hungry? - No, not a bit. She is not a bit happy. not a little意思是“非常,很”,相当于 very (much), a lot 之意。例如:He is not a little like his father. I am not a little surprised at the news. The boy was not a little worried because he hadnt heard from her parents for a long time. I'm a little bit tired. Let's take a short rest. 二、very和very much 我经常听到学生说:I very like English.(我很喜欢英语),或者读到类似的句子。 This dictionary is very useful to my English study. He was driving very fast then. 而very much可以修饰这类动词,它们是like(喜欢), love(喜爱), prefer(更喜欢), hope(希望), wish(很想), expect(盼望), want(想要), intend(意欲), hate(痛恨), regret(后悔), admire(羡慕), thank(感谢), appreciate(赞赏), miss(想念), think of(想念), would like(想要), feel like doing(想要)等词(组)。 I hope to go to Beijing University very much. She would like to join your club very much. Thank you very much. We appreciate your invitation very much. I was very much surprised at the news. I very much regret what Ive done now. You must do it now. Put you things over there. She very much dislikes fish. He ate his breakfast quickly He agreed to let me go home early. I often go fishing at weekends. The doctor examined the patient carefully. I'll never forget meeting you that afternoon. This is a very good book. I was rather angry at what he said. Mary and Jane are quite different. The music is too loud: please turn it down. It's difficult enough, but it could have been worse. Let's go shopping now.
