Wildlife Protection阅读课教学设计设计教师:开发区汉阳三中杨敏教学年级:高中一年级课题名称:Unit4 Reading “How Daisy Learned to Help Wildlife”教材版本:人教版(必修2)授课时间:45分钟(一)学生分析此课时的教授对象是高一上学期的学生,学生学习的积极性较高,参与课堂 活动极具热情。但考虑到学生的词汇量有限,阅读技巧的意识较弱,在导入时利 用了野生动物的视频和图片,既激发了学生的兴趣又进行了词汇的铺垫。同时, 在设计阅读练习时,采用了选择、排序、判断、简答、填空等多种练习形式以便 培养学生采用各种阅读技巧来进行阅读的能力。(二)教材分析这是英语人教版教材高中一年级必修2 Unit 4 Wildlife Protection的一节阅 读课。本节课围绕“保护野生动植物”这一话题,通过对课文How Daisy Learned to Help Wildlife的深刻理解,让学生了解野生动植物保护的现状和重要性,从而增 强环境保护意识并能在现实生活中认真执行。(三)教学策略.教学方法通过师生互动、生生互动、分组讨论等方法引导学生合作学习;运用“任务 型”的教学途径。1 .辅助手段多媒体,视频等影像资料.教学准备根据导入局部的需要,我在网上找到动物世界的相关视频等影音资料, 制作了多媒体教学课件,并设计了相关练习。要求学生在课前查找有关保护野生 动植物的资料,有助于课文理解。(四)教学设计 Teaching aims:After learning the class, the students can:1. Learn some words of some animals9 names and know some basic information about the endangered animals and wildlife situation and protection.2. Develop the ability to get related information by reading comprehension.3. Understand the importance of the wildlife protection and be more active in the helping of wildlife.4. Put what they have learned into writing. Teaching key/difficult Points:1. To train the reading comprehension to the whole passage2. To improve Ss' ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Teaching methods:Task-based Learning &Cooperative Learning Teaching aids:Multi-media, and other normal teaching tools. Teaching procedures:Step 1: Lead-In1 .( Play a video of the world of animals)With the video clip about wildlife, ask students to write down the names of them and learn some new words of some animals' names.2 . (Show more pictures)Make sure that students know the definition of “wildlife”.Focus on the word “WILD”(World, Individual, Love, Determination) and come to the point -Wildlife Protection.Purpose: Let students to be aware of today's topic, arousing their interest.Step 2: Pre-readingMake the whole class discuss what on earth mainly cause these wild animals indanger of disappearing.After discussing, Ss should mention the following reasons:Food shortage, pollution, destruction of habitats, and over-hunting. Meanwhile, teacherstress the importance of "wildlife protection in time.Purpose: To raise students5 awareness of wildlife protection.Step 3: Listening TaskPlay the tape of the reading passage, and ask Ss to finish the following questions, and tick all the mentioned words out while listening: 1. List your own opinions and organize your words to write a short passage about your solutions.Purpose: To cultivate Ss to write down their own opinions and help train their writing abilities.Step 7: Extensive learningl.Surf the Internet for more information about the topic.2.Recommend a hot film:丛林大反攻、平衡Purpose: To enlarge their scope of knowledge and inspire their emotion.(五)教学反思:高一学生词汇量有限,也刚接触阅读技巧。用大家都熟悉的动物世界的 相关视频进行导入,一方面激发学生的兴趣,能顺利进入话题,另一方面利用视 频让学生复习已学过的动物名称,可以扩充相关词汇。再通过呈现动植物过去与 现在的图片加以比拟、探讨动植物频临灭绝的原因等活动来唤起学生对动植物保 护的意识。在阅读过程中,采用了选择、排序、判断、简答、填空等多种练习形 式以便培养学生采用各种阅读技巧来进行阅读的能力。本节课旨在培养学生听说 读写的综合能力及小组合作探究学习的能力,让学生能把课堂所学应用到语言实 践中去。作业的布置是将课堂所学与写作相结合,是学生将知识“内化”的表达 与升华,有一定的挑战性。课外信息的补充及电影欣赏激发了学生自主学习的热 情。缺乏之处:(1)学生做Consolidation局部时,给学生的时间不够充足,完成得很仓促。(2)由于学生的口语水平有限,在英语表达时用汉语进行思维的 情况比拟多,今后应尽力鼓励学生多开口说英语,课堂上尽量让学生多运用英语。(3)对学生的课堂表现所作的评价应多样化也是我今后要提高和完善的方面。
