Look and complete(Activity 2 )Lead students to look at the pictures and talk about the activity “Where did they go on vacation?” Then leave sometime to students to Discuss with each others.At the end, Invite some students to share their activities happened in vacation with us.Step3.PresentationPre - listening(2a)1. Teacher should lead all the students to read the sentences in 2a together. Then ask a question like "How many characters we have in this tape? &Who are they and what are their names?" to let all the students to listen and guess. After 30 seconds, teacher should let all the students look at 2a,and guide them to Number the people in the picture from one to five, according to the tape they heard.2.Lead all the students to look at the picture of this unit ,and ask students to predict their past activities by asking like "Where did you go on vacation? ?” While-listening(Activity 4)1 .Request student to pay attention to the past vacation activities and the names in the chart they heard from the tape before playing the tape.2 . Play the tape twice , first time guide students to hearing the names in the chart they heard, second time to pay attention to the activities they heard from the tape which related to pictures.Then choose some students to share their answers with us and number the pictures from 1-5 in order.3 .Listen and judge (Activity 5)Listen and complete.Students listen the tape again and complete the sentences in activity 5.If they cant finish the task, just listen again.At the same time to encourage students to talk about their hobbies. Post-listening (class work and pair work)At the end, Teacher should play the tape sentence one by one and lead all the students to repeat them.Step4.Speaking PartRead and underlineStudents read the dialogue and underline the sentence about hobby.Teacher writes the sentences on the board.If students cant understand those expressions,teacher should explain it to them.For Example:Where did you go on vacation?I went to new York city.Did you go out with anyone?No one was here.Everyone was on vacation.Did you buy anything special?Yes, I bought something for my father.How was the food?Everything tasted really good.Did everyone have a good time?Oh, yes, everything was excellent Listen and repeatStudent read the dialogue after the tape,focusing on the sentences talking about past vacation activities. Practice and act(activity 8)Students work in pairs .following the example. Then some of them act out their dialogue in the front to the class.Students make dialogues with partner to talk about the past vacation activities related with their major to identify what kind of activity should be developed to study their own
