Difficult Points:To get the students to be involved in the teaching and learning process and to arouse students interest in creating mind maps.四、教学过程Teaching Procedures:Step 1 : Lead-in and pre-readinga) Show students some pictures of people injured in sports meeting and ask the question: What is first aid?b) Students read the warming up and find out the definition of first aid.c) Lead in the passage by showing a picture of the little who gets burned.Purpose: To arouse the students interest in learning more about first aid for burns.Step 2: Reading and analyzing a). Let the students look through the text quickly and analyze the structure of the passage.b) Students read and find out the functions of the skin and causes of burns.c) Student read, find out and complete the information of types and characteristics of burnsin the given mind map.d) Get students to know the way of mind map to show the logic.Purpose: to improve students skills of skinning and summarizing. to help students set up the concept of mind map.Step 3.
