I hope wc can study together and you can make some progress.Presentation:Step one: Leading inOK. Now please look at the big screen and there is a question to need solving by you. Who knows, please put up your hands and reply it.Q: What important things have happened in the science fields in our country recently ?Possible answers:The Shenzhou Ten was sent up into the sky.(神十问天)The Second Chang e Satellite flew to the moon.(嫦娥奔月)I think we should take pride in China as Chinese.But why our country sent them up?Possible answers:I Think it might have tow important meanings. On the one hand it must show our country s science and technology develop stronger and stronger. On the other hand, it could be to search the mysteries in the space. In fact, some creatures who called aliens , living on other planets also come to the earth to explore our human's secrets all the time by UFO. OK, lets walk to our class to learn some information about the UFO and the alien. And open up our eyes.Step Two: Part oneNow please look al the pictures on the big screen carefully, and turn to page 61. At first, read the words in the box twice, then write a sentence about each picture with these words in two minutes. And you have to use up all the words given in the box. Use must, might, could and can' t for making inferences. Then have the students exchange information in pairs and let three students read their own sentences aloud in class. Possible answers:1. The UFO is landing. It must come down from the sky!2. The terrible, ugly, frightening alien might be chasing the man.3. The frightened man might be looking back at the alien.Step Three: lb and 1cListening 、 numbering> completing and writing:Let the students understand the requires in lb and 1c. And read the sentences in lc, get more information. Then have them listen to the recording twice. While listening the first time, please pay attention to the usages of must, might, could and can' t for making inferences and try to number the pictures on page 61. Then listen again and complete the sentences in 1c with must, might, could and can, t for making inferences. Ask four students to share their answers, and have the students read the sentences once aloud together.Possible answers:1. a man running He could be running for exercises. He might be late for work.2. something in the sky It could be a helicopter. It must be a UFO.3. a strange crcature It must be an alien. I must be dreaming.4. a woman wi th a camera She could be from the TV news.They must be making a movie.Then give the students three minutes to finish the story by wri ting two or three sentences. The teacher goes around the class and give them some necessary help. Then let the students enjoy their own stories in group of four. Let the students make an interview among them in group of three. Use must、might could and can t for making inferences.Example:A: Excuse me, I m a interviewer from the school radio station.
