schools of thought,have a huge gathering of followers home and abroad。They are as secular as they are spiritual.Many of the virtues they advocate,say,selfdiscipline,restraint,social and familial harmony,equality,and gratitude for life in general,have universal applicability.Translated into our own life,the the wisdom of these schools of thought will definitely serve us for the better in ways we have never foreseen。b)Presentation Now lets launch a free presentation concerning Confucian ethics characterized by Humanity(仁),Righteousness(义),Propriety(礼),Wisdom(智),Integrity(信).:(Ask students philosopher of China whose teachings have for many centuries influenced East Asia。”Confucius is the Latinized form for Kong Zi that has been widely used in the West.Analects:The Analects,a collection of notes of Confuciuss discourses,conversations and travels kept by his disciples,is the earliest and most reliable source on the life and teachings of Kong Zi and is regarded as the basic“scripture”of Confucianism。Confucianism:Confucianism founded by Confucius,is the cornerstone of traditional Chinese culture。Confucian ethics is characterized by Humanity(仁),Righteousness(义),Propriety(礼),Wisdom(智),Integrity(信)。Humanity is at the core in Confucianism,which consists in loving others.Christianity:a religion based on the life and oral teaching of Jesus and Nazareth as presented in the New Testament。Christianity is the worlds largest religion,with approximately 2。2 billion adherents,know as Christians。Islam:the Muslim religion based on belief in one God and revealed through Muhammed as the Prephet of Allah.Those whose religion is Islam are called Muslims。Judaism:the religion,philosophy,and way of life of the Jewish people with the Tarah as
