Ask students to look at the pictures and tell you who he is.2. Ask students if they know what sport Liu Xiang is famous for.3. Students work in pairs to tell a partner what they know about him.4. Call back ideas from the whole class and write them on the board.5. Ask students what it takes to be a sporting hero(ability and hard work) 二、Read the passage and choose the sentence which best expresses the main idea (Activity 2)分析:本活动目的是培养学生迅速浏览全文,抓住文章主题的阅读技台匕 耳匕。1. Ask students to read the passage twice and find out how many ideas on the board are in it.2. Ask students to do this individually.3. Discuss their answer with a partner.4.
