The first part is to show the pronunciation rules of -or in the words. The second part is to distinguish the two different pronunciations of -or by listening. The third part is to help students spell the words by the spelling rules.Part2 Analysis of the students :Our students are in Grade 4. They have learned English for one year. But they still lack some learning strategies and their vocabulary are limited. The students are also active and curious. So during my lesson, I will design some interesting games to activate them to participate. They will also be interested in the class.Part3 Teaching aims:1) The aims of knowledge.Students will be able to master -or in the pronunciation of words,and can read and spell words containing letter combinations -or independently.2) The aims of ability.Develop students' abilities of listening,speaking jeading,and writing. Then train the students5 ability of working in groups.3) The aims of emotion.consciousness of good cooperation and proper competition.Part4 Teaching key and difficult points:Key points:To enable the students to master -or in the pronunciation of the words.And can read and spell words containing letter combinations -or independently.Difficult points:1 .To enable the students to understand the picture books and read the story with emotion.2 .Help students master the spelling rules.Part5 Teaching procedures :Stepl. Greeting and warm upAfter greeting with the students, I will begin the lesson by doing a chant,"I say.you say”. I say the letter,students say the sound.For example,1 say b, students say/b/,I say c,students say /k/we do it with the music.Purpose:Chant is a good way to attract students' attention to the new class. It provides situations to review the sound of consonants.and it's a good foundation for the following steps.Step2. Presentation.Learn spelling rule one:the pronunciation of letter combinations -or in the word. If s /:/.First, I will introduce myself and my new friend.My name is Corn.His name is York.Here is something new about York.Let students listen and read after the tape. After that the words Corn,forty,sport,York, fork, pork are on the screen. Then I will ask, " What's the same? ” Students may answer they have the same letters -or. Next, try to read more words with -or.If he/she is right ,he/she will get a red flower.After that I will ask them what does -or sound like?After watching a video and chanting with mej think students can find the sound of -or easily.1. Learn spelling rule two:the pronunciation of letter combinations -or in the words.If s /。:/.The last word students read is York. York is my friend. He's very busy, why? Then continue to read the picture book and listen. York says, " I read a word, I watch a worm, I play with Worf, I have so much work”. Pay attention to these words.:word, worm,Worfwork. I'll ask., “What's the same? ” Students can find they have the same letters -wor. But what does -or after -w sound like? Let the students watch a video. Students can find the sound of -or after -w. Next play a game,try to read more words with -wor.2. Read, listen and chant in the textbook. Learn the words " horse, fork.homework, world map”,and then practice.Purpose.:By using chant and video.Students can master the pronunciation learning English.Step3. Practice.Game 1.Students will have a PK to choose the right words that -or sounds /o:/.1 .Game2.Choose a lucky card,who is the lucky one? Let the students distinguish the pronunciation of -or:/o:/ or /s:/.Practice by different ways. Read, listen and number;Read, listen and write in the textbook.Purpose:Through different kinds of exercises,students can consolidate their new knowledge and study in a relaxing atmosphere.Step4. consolidationIn this step, I will show a picture bookYork's horns.By reading the interesting picture book, the pronunciation of -or will be consolidated.
