Human factors engineering optimizes human-machine-environment system to improve system productivity and ensure human health, safety and comfort. This course takes production (or service) and management systems as research objects, focuses on the people in the system, and focuses on the relationship between man, machine, and environment. It systematically introduces the relevant ideas, theories, and methods of human factors engineering. Through the study of this course, students will grasp the physiological and psychological characteristics of people from the perspective of engineering, and to make scientific suggestions on engineering design, work arrangement, environmental layout, etc. from the perspective of suitable physiological and psychological characteristics of people, establish a reasonable and feasible practical scheme for the man-machine-environment system, so that the operator can obtain a comfortable, healthy, safe and reliable working environment.Course ResourcesTextbook:Guo Fu, Qian Shengsan.
