Module 3 The Violence of Nature 教学设计一.教材分析高中英语(外研版)必修三Module 3的教学内容是学习有关各种自然灾害的特征及其给人类 带来的危害。本节课是该模块的第二课时,即Reading and Vocabulary的教学,主要介绍Tornado (龙卷风)和Hurricane (飓风)等自然灾害的威力。二.学情分析所教学生英语基础薄弱,阅读能力较差。所以本节课在教授重点词汇、句型的同时侧重阅读能 力的培养和阅读技巧的提高。三.教学目标教学目标1 .知识与技能目标:Students will use some important words,phrases and sentences about the violence of nature and improve the skills of scanning and skimming.2 .过程与方法目标:Students will be active by answering questions and group work3 .情感目标:Students will learn some kinds of natural disasters and develop confidence and determination to fight against disasters of nature.教学重点1. Understand the important phrases and sentences.2. Learn to how to use the skills of scanning and skimming to read.教学难点Deal with some difficult words and improve students' reading ability.四.教学过程Step 1.
