The difference is: In Group C, “them” refers to people and is used as Object; In Group D, “people” in the second sentence is used as Subject.4. Because sentences are more compact and the meaning is smooth. 5. “whom、whose and which” can also be used to introduce Attributive Clauses. “whom” refers to persons but it is only used as Object; “whose” refers to ownership, including “peoples” and “of things”; “which” refers to things.Second, look for more sentences with Attributive Clauses in Page 39.1.
