Ask Ss to look at the board and check the word to see if they know them. 2. Show some examples of how the sentence work. 教学过程Step 3 Presentation 1. Questions on inference:We should remember the following points when we do the questions on inference. (1) We need to infer by the information provided by the passage strictly. Personal ideas or opinions should not be put into it. (2) If some choice is the simple repetition of the context, then its not the inference, which means that it is not the correct answer. (3) If some choice is quite right according to the text and experience, but not contained in the passage. Then it is not the right answer but the personal opinions. (4) If some choice is mentioned in the passage but not complete, then its not the right answer. (5) The modal verb like should, must, may, etc usually express the opinions of the writer, which is helpful for us to get the correct answer. (6) We need to notice the words of the passage like too, excessively, rather, which usually contains the negative tone. (7) Some words like however, but, on the contrary, whats more, the sentence after it is usually the attitude or the opinions of the writer. Example:One day a man walked into a pet shop and said to the shop assistant, “I need two small nice and about five dozen roaches and two spiders.”“What do you need these things for?” the shop assistant was very surprised.“Well”, replied the man, “Im moving out of my apartment and the landlord insists that I should leave the house in exactly the same condition as I found it.”Q: The passage suggests that when the writer moved into the house, it was _.A. Very cleanB. Just cleaned by the landlordC. Tidy and comfortableD. Dirty and full of insectsWe can infer from the passage that the correct answer is D. 2. Attitudes and opinions:This kind of question is to test the main idea of the passage. Example:Some people are never right. They never have good luck. They usually do the wrong thing and say the wrong thing. And even if what they say or do is OK. They as a rule say it or do it at the wrong time. So these people always have problems. They often break dishes. They sometimes miss buses and airplanes. Mr. Neff is different. He is always right. He is never wrong. He usually has good luck. He seldom has problems. He never breaks dishes. He never misses buses or airplanes. Even if he does miss them, it is always the fault of the buses or air planes. Mr. Neff know almost everything. He doesnt ask questions; he answers questions. He never says, “I dont know.”Q: Which of the following best describes the writers attitude towards Mr. Neff?A. He finds Mr. Neff hard to understand. B. He things Mr. Neff wonderful. C. He feels pity for Mr. Neff. D. He does not like Mr. Neff. Truthfully speaking, the other three choices basically mean the same thing. Then the right answer is D. Check answers together and try to discuss why you choose this option.Step 4Homework. 1. Try to remember the strategies on reading. 2. Have more practice of the verbs and try to remember the words if you dont know and take notes. 板书设计Guidance on Reading Strategies on Inference and Attitude 重点句型:1.The passage suggests that when the writer moved into the house, it was.2.Which of the following best describes the writers attitude towards Mr. Neff?3.Even if he does miss them, it is always the fault of the buses or the airplanes. 教学反思通过讲解阅读理解的解题策略,学生们能够了解在遇到推断题和判断作者态度和观点题型时,应该如何应对。在阅读文章时,一定要记住我们是阅读者,而不是作者,不应该将自己的观点或者经验带入到文中,从而影响对题目的判断。学科网(北京)股份有限公司
