新人教版 必修一 Unit 4 Natural disasters Reading and thinking教案课 题Unit 4 Natural disastersPeriod 2Reading and Thinking学科英语班级4班授课教师教 学目 标By the end of this period, students will be able to:1. learn about the basic information of Tangshan earthquake.2. understand the passage together.3. identify the structure of the text.4. use some words and phrases to describe a natural disaster.教 学主 题该板块以“描述自然灾害”(Describe a naturaldisaster)为教学主题。要求学生通过阅读文本,了解我国20世纪70年代发生在唐山的大地震,学习报告文学这种纪实性文体,最后完成用自己的语言描述自然灾害的任务。教 学重 点1. 引导学生通过图片和文章标题预测文章内容,培养学生的预测能力;2. 引导学生在阅读中概括段落大意,培养学生提取信息的能力;3. 引导学生了解报告文学。教 学难 点1. 引导学生深入阅读语篇,理解作者在作品中所表达的情感和写作意图;2. 引导学生能够反思人类应对地震这一自然灾害的经验和教训。教学内容与过程Lead-in通过观看一段电影片段,让学生联想中国发生的一些重大地震灾难,并简单说说地震能造成的一些伤害。Step1 Pre-reading呈现课本中的图片和标题,让学生一边听录音一边阅读文章,大概掌握文章的含义与内容内容。What does the title mean? What do you think the text is mainly about? What the type is the text?Step2 While-reading(1) 让学生快速阅读文本,检验读前的预测结果。(2) 让学生仔细阅读,挑选学生归纳、概括各段大意。(3) 引导学生按时间顺序分段落阅读文本,回答问题。Paragraph 1:What strange things were happening before the earthquake? Do you think they were warning signs? Why or why not?Paragraphs 2&3:When were happening in Para.2?What damage did it cause to the city and people?What happened later that afternoon?
