Students9 prior knowledge.Students have learnedsome background knowledge of the space and astronauts in Chinese;i) some basic knowledge of the Simple Future Tense in primary school.IV. Anticipated problems and possible solutions.Students may have problems with some of the grammatical terms (e.g. base form, negative form, etc.), so the teacher will add the Chinese meaning to some difficult words to facilitate the students' comprehension.V. Follow-upIn the following lesson, the teacher will guide the students to review the grammar focus and help them solve the learning difficulties. Besides, the teacher will also prepare feedback on errors made in the consolidation exercise about grammar forms, use as well as language skills.VIII. Procedures:Step 1. Lead-in: A space quiz (5 mins). Videos(Objective) In this part, the teacher will use the great news of Shenzhou XI to usher the students into the topic of space and astronauts. Then the teacher will guide the students to finish a space quiz where the questions are written in the Simple Future Tense.(Intension) This part is designed to arouse studcnts, interest in this topic and guide them to understand the use of the Simple Future Tense in the real-life situation.Step 2. Self-study tasks (12mins). PowerPointIn this part, the teacher will ask the students to figure out the structures and use of the Simple Future Tense by observing the questions of the quiz. After that, the teacher will ask the students to finish the mind-map in groups with the use of their grammar books. Each member will be given different tasks and they are required to cooperate with each other. At last, the teacher will ask some students to show their works and share their idea in class.This part is designed to help develop studcnts, self-study skills and cooperation spirits. It is expected that students could figure out the grammar focus by themselves first, and then reinforce their understanding of this part through peer cooperation and demonstration.After the demonstration, the teacher will ask the students to check the answers of the Before Class part. During this period, the teacher will move around in the classroom and the students could ask the teacher for help if they have any questions.This part is designed to reinforce students' understanding of the Simple Future Tense by guiding them to work with and help each other in groups. Students prefer to listen to their classmates when checking the drilling answers. And it is expected to make the class more efficient and participatory.Step 3.Speaking (10 mins).【PowerPointIn this part, the teacher will ask the students to discuss what they will do in the school sports meeting. Provided as scaffolds, three specific questions will be shown on the worksheets and slides to guide the students to talk and share ideas with each other. The situation is based on their coming school sports meeting and the questions are highly life-related. After the group discussion, the teacher will ask some volunteers to share their ideas in class.This part is designed to practice students' use of the Simple Future Tense in oral English. Moreover, it is hoped to develop students * critical thinking and habit of using English in their daily lives.Step 4.Writing (12 mins). I ProjectorIn this part, the teacher will ask the students to write down three items that they will take to the school sports meeting. The students are required to write down their ideas in 5 sentences within 5 minutes. Then the teacher will invite some volunteers to show their works in class and guide the students to do the peer assessment.This part, which is designed to reinforce students' use of the Simple Future Tense in written English, is more challenging, for the students have to combine their three ideal items into five sentences. On the other hand, this task is both efficient and thought-provoking, for the students just need to write down five sentences and it is necessary for them to consider what to take to the school sports meeting.Step 5.Summary and assignment (1 minute). PowerPointIn this part, the teacher will guide the students to review what they have learned in this lesson and summarize the key points. In fact, in this class, the students will learn the knowledge of space and astronauts first. After that, they will try to figure out the form, meaning and use of the Simple Future Tense. Last but not least, they will finish three tasks, namely the drilling exercise, the oral task and the written task, where the last two tasks are open-ended and highly life-related.The students' homework is to preview (v.预习)Reading 1 W-次 the and complete the worksheet.If time permits, the teacher will play the song Count on me and guide the students to sing along so as to reinforce their understanding of the grammar focus in a cheerful mood.教学反思:在本节课中,我运用了 EV录屏、爱剪辑、格式工厂等软件来制作本课题视 频(space trip),同时嵌入到了 PowerPoint中,与图片、文字等资源配套使用。 此外,我也运用了美图秀秀、Photoshop等软件剪辑图片,以突出主题和美化效 果。最后,我运用了投影机投影学生作品,让学生用英语来介绍小组成果。课后, 我引导学生使用盒子鱼、趣配音这两个手机APP来跟读课文、纠正发音,同时 使用猿题库来巩固知识点。学生完成这些任务后发到微信和qq这两个交流平台 实现信息传递与分享,在周末也能打破时空限制与同学、老师互动。
