    单元设计单元名称Unit 4 I used to be afraid of the dark.1 .单元教学设计说明本单元以“我们怎样改变(how we have changed)”为核心话题,在四年后老朋友见面 的情景中,围绕本单元语言交际功能项目“谈论你过去是什么样"(talk about what you used to be like),逐步展开各项听、说、读、写活动,给人们一种有趣的体验和新鲜的感 受。教学从谈论人物过去的外貌、性格,进一步延伸到谈论人物过去的心理感受,以及人 物过去的爱好等,最后延伸到谈论现在的变化,将过去和现在教学进行对比。本单元在各项语言活动中,融入大量含used to结构的语句,由于教学内容与学生的实际生 活密切相关,易于激发学生学习兴趣。通过观察图片、听说训练、阅读理解等训练方式和 独立学习、合作交流、完成任务等形式完成目标语言的输入,让学生在感受、理解、体验 的基础上,很容易就能掌握这个结构。并能运用used to do sth结构谈论自己与过去的不 同,准确地描述人物过得外貌、性格和心理特征。通过学习,让学生在交际活动中,学会 正确地用英语谈论事物的发展和变化,明白事物是在不断发展变化的,培养学生积极向上 的健康心态。2 .学情分析对于九年级的学生来说,部分学生已经有了一定的英语学习基础,掌握了一点英,美国家口常 生活中的不同传统特点,但总体上来说,还比较少.夏季课程安排与学生的生活紧密相连,也是 他们很感兴趣的话题,如有机会,他们也很想出国亲身体验一些英国/美国与中国不同的旅游 胜地,风土人情和传统生活.基于现实生活,只能引导学生在课堂上发挥丰富的想象力,把课堂 模拟成生活,置身于英语学习中,提高语言交际能力.但大部分学生对于西方国家的旅游胜地, 风土人情和传统生活所知甚少,因而词汇品和信息量可能会偏大,加之学生英语成绩的分化 比较严重,所以要求学生能课前认真做好预习,了解中英/美传统生活的特点和差异,培养自学 能力;教师在预设的任务中,注意引导学生在交际中动态生成,学生有话可说,乐于合作分享.这 样就有利于他们更好的运用课本知识,达到提高综合运用语言能力的目的。3 .单元目标与重点难点1.教学目标语言能力:Be able to use the new expressions learned at the beginning of this unit.to better understand the article; Be able to use one's knowledge learned before as well as in this period to.学习能力:Be able to use the phrase used to be/do" and it's negative form and question form correctly to share one's own changes and talk about other people's changes.Be able to leam from Candy Wang so as to take up sth. to deal with one's own disadvantages and make some good changes to one's life.思维品质To understand that it's perfectly normal to have changes in people's life; and be able to realizethe good and bad changes in one's life and try to gel the bad one's into good ones in later life.To admire Candy's changes and her spirit;with me?(肯定回答:Yes, I do.否 定回答:No, I don't.)Dare youwithme?(肯定回答:Yes, I dare.否定回答:No, I dare not.)translation 1.1 have to be very careful about what I say or do.2.
