They are unfamiliar with some of the vocabularies, for example, sympathy, mist, dusty, humble, emphasize, and leadership. So they need to preview the words and passage in advance. In previous lessons, students were introduced some reading skills, like skimming, scanning and predicting. Moreover, the theme of this unit is Times change, specifically, the topic of the reading passage is about the changes of physical bookstores with the social development. Most of the students have experiences in buying books in physical bookstores and online bookstores. Actually, when they are facing with this topic, they are very glad to express the changes they have went through in their daily life so that they are willing to do something important to maintain and promote Chinese ethnic traditional handcrafts.
