a fascinating musician andcomposer whose fame continues to grow morethan two centuries after his death.He was bomin Salzburg,Austria,in 1756.Before the ageof four,he had shown great musical talent.Hisfather then decided to let him start takingharpsichord lessons.The boys reputation as amusical talent grew fast.At five,he wascomposing music.Form that time on,Mozartwas performing n concerts and writing music.By his early teens,he had mastered the piano,violin and harpsichord,and was writingsymphonies and operas.His first major operawas performed in Milan in 1770,when he wasonly song“Happy Birthday toYou“Began as a sweet one,but later becamebitter.Two sisters,Mildred Hill,a teacher at akindergarten,and Dr.Patty Hill,the principalof the same school,wrote a song together forthe children,entitled Good Morning to All”.When Mildred combined her musical talentswith her sisters knowledge in the area ofkindergarten education,Good Morning toAll“was sure to be a success.The sisterpublished the song in a collection entitled“Song Stories of the Kindergarten in 1893.Thirty-one years later,after Dr.Patty Hillbecame the head of the Department ofKindergarten Education at ColumbiaUniversitys Teachers College,a gentleman bythe name Robert Coleman published the song,without the sisters5 permission.He added asecond part,which is the familiar“HappyBirthday to You.Mr.Colemans addition ofthe second part made the song popular and,finally,the sisters“original first partdisappeared.Happy Birthday to You”hadaltogether replaced the sisters5 original song“Good wedding.Preparations for thewedding bring out funny and sad situationstouching on love and a past rape.This movieshows some of the wonderful customs of India,and the importance of family and love.Itsgreat!Among dramas,I like“Adaptation”.It is anexcellent movie!But for me the first part ofthe movie was too fast to follow.I hope to seeit again on DVD with captions.“The Pianist is set in the Second World War.Its about a young Polish-Jewish pianist,wholives in Warsaw with his family.The Nazissent his family to die in the concentrationcamps.He was safe,but would have diedwithout unusually good luck and the kindnessof a few non-Jews.This is a powerful moviewith thought-provoking themes.“Rabbit-Proof Fence is set in the 1930s inAustralia,and its based on real events.It isabout three native girls who are separated fromtheir families by the racist police who sendthem to special centers.There the girls aretaught practical skills,and the governmenttries to integrate them into white Australiansociety.They can away fr
