Unit 3 ShoppingWarming up and listening一、教材分析1 .教学内容本课时系教材英语1(基础模块高教版)第三单元的第一课时,包括Warming up & Listening and speaking中的Listening两部分,具体内容为:部分商品和购物场所的词汇、 买卖商品活动中展开的对话和对一件商品的具体描述。这些内容为整个单元的学习活动做语言和知识的准备,也为学生学以致用的语言表达 活动提供了语言铺垫。2 .教学重点、难点教学重点Students can ask and provide information about goods by using common shopping vocabulary and sentence patterns.教学难点Students can use the vocabulary and sentence patterns to describe the style, size, price, payment method, and so on.二、教学目标1 .知识目标Students can listen to the dialogues about the basic information of the goods, such as the color, material, price, place of purchase, and so on.2 .能力目标Students can use common vocabulary and sentence patterns to talk about commodity information and shopping, such as:try . on / fitting room / on sale / pay withHow can I help you? /1 *d like., please. / What size are you? / Can I pay with.?3 .情感目标Students can consume properly.Help students establish correct values and consumption concepts.三、教学步骤Step One Lead-inFree talkTeacher shows the website on the screen, then asks,“ Whafs it?”“What can we do on taobao?“Have you / your friends got any shopping experience on taobao?Students answer the questions together or individually.Step Two Vocabulary teaching1. Words presentation.Teacher shows the pictures of the following items on the screen, with the English word of each item under each picture: some gifts, clothes, books,beverages, snacks, stationery, shoes, and fruits.Students name all the goods teacher has got from taobao, and read the words after teacher.2. DiscussionWhere can I buy things beside taobao?Students give different answers first.Then teacher introduces different shops to get above goods with the help of pictures.3. Students read the words after the teacher three or more times.4. Teacher adds some names of shops which we often see in our daily life. Such as bakery, shoes shop, clothes shop, drug store etc.Step Three Practice1. Give an example.There are 14 words about goods and shops they have just learned in this class. Ask students to practise these words by a short dialogue.A:Where do you usually buy?B:I usually buy .in2. Ask several pairs to make the dialogue in class.Step Four Listen, read and match. (Activity 2 )1. ExplanationTeacher describes a sweater, including: types of clothes, color, material, size and its price.2. Activity 2Students listen to the recording and read after the recording.Then they match the sentences with the related information about the description of the clothes individuals.Later teacher checks answers together.3. PracticeAsk some students to describe their clothes in three or four sentences.Step Five SummaryMake a short summary about the words and sentences which are connected to shopping.Step Six Homework1 .Review new words and phrases learned in this period.2 .Review sentences describing an item and try to describe an item.
