It is defined that people have to learn something new and useful at different life stages in this ever-changing world. Life-long learning is an attitude of people towards life nowadays and an orientation towards new things in their life. There is a rising demand for life-long learning in modem society. On the one side new things emerge seemingly in an accelerating speed. People need new knowledge to keep up with what is going on technologically around us for new things will take the place of the relatively old ones due to their superior performances. On the other side new jobs new concepts and new ideas urge people to learn more about them for society is changing fast in a technological way. Office clerks are demanded to use updated computer programs to deal with the files. They also need to know a foreign language as they have to tackle international emails online. Today's office jobs are quite demanding. I think that for college students graduation from college is only one of the stops in life. People especially the young need to learn new skills and ideas to be competitive in modem society. Life-long learning is certainly a way of life.On Life-long Learning Life-long learning is a new terminology for modern society . The latter mainly refers to symphonies and operas of the European countries. They show great concern for the fact that many people prefer pop music to symphonies because for them pop music should be excluded from the holy palace of music. Conversely many people have an ordor for pop music. They argue that people who want us to listen m symphonies arc advocating a kind 0fH elite culture0. This notion is un accptable to pop music fans for they don't believe that symphonies are loftier than pop music. The difference only lies in the interests of different people. It is unfiarr m speak of pop music with contempt while speaking of symphonies with awe. In conclusion my idea is that just as there is no distinction between high culture and low culture so it is inappropriate to say pop music belongs to the "lower" people whereas symphonies is a higher loftier form of music. After all there are many badly- composed symphonies. And we canft expect every piece of pop music to be excellent. Pop music reflects the thoughts and interests of a certain agegroup of a generation. It is the product of a certain age but it also has something universal something that belonges to all human beings that underlies its great success among people. In this sense it is rather foolish for some people of media to show great concern simply because many people prefer pop music. Anyway pop music has become an indispensable part of the music family. My Idea of Pop music Pop music is held in contempt by many people. It sounds very strange since college students are the young elite of society. They have rreceived advanced education. They are intelligent aspirant and knowledgeable. They are eager to learn and to do their best for society. But how comes college students have difficulty in finding jobs? There are several reasons for this strange phenomenon. One important reason is that nowadays college students pursue too high a goal. They are not satisfied with a merely "good" job. They care about various factors such as the working conditions the salary the working place (in the city or in the countryside) etc. Therefore although there are many vacant jobs waiting for the college students they are unwilling to accept them. Another reason is that the majors some students study in college do not fit in with the demands of the vacant jobs. So they can only let the jobs pass by regretfully. How to solve this problem? In my opinion the gap between the jobs' demands and college students1 demands should be bridged. The companies or factories should offer favorable conditions for college students while the later should net focus their attention only on the materal aspect of a job. They should think more about their future development and their contributions to society. Moreover college students should realize their own defects and further improve themselves in order to meetwith the needs of society.College Students Job-Hunting In recent years, college students find it dificult to hunt a job. In our country swimming running basketball football table tennis and badminton are the favourite sports and games. Early every morning you can see people doing all kinds of exercises in parks and open grounds. Friendly matches and sports meets are often held in schools and facto ties. But there are still some people who don't know the importance of sports and games. They treat them only as amusements just like films or radio programmes. We all know that sports and games build our bodies and keep us in good health. They are especially helpful to those who work with their brains. Sports and games can also train a person's character. On the sports field a child learns to fight fair and hard to win without pride and lose with grace. Sports and games are like a bridge to true friendship. Later when he has grown up he will naturally work for the good of his country instead of for his own benefit. As we have said 1 above sports and games can be of great value. They not only make people live happily but also help people to learn virtues and do their work better. A sound mind is in a sound body.
