HFxC_m-072-073-078-p1-e-rev002 02/09113.3 Sensor SettingsThe following parameters can be set with the help of CeCalWin Pro.3.3.1 Average TimeDue to the high sampling rate and the small measuring spot, the sensor signal may be quite rough onuneven surfaces but it is possible to smoothen the Signal by using a moving average filter.Source data are stored in a circular buffer, and new mean value is calculated each time the new resultarrives;therefore, the output may regarded as a moving average. Please note that signal detail and dynamics will decrease as the signal becomes increasingly smooth. This parameter specifies the number of source results to be averaged for deriving the output value!3.3.2 Buffer TimeIf the sensor is out of range or the laser spot is shaded, the sensor output will show a zero value.Toprevent these erroneous measurements a buffer time can be set.If the sensor cannot aqcuire a valid measurement value, the sensor will put out the last valid value forthis time maximum. As soon as a new valid value is acquired, the sensor will put this out.RS-232 Output Cable,1m 8 pin Binder with cable?1 x 9 pin DSub female&2 x 4 mm bunch pin plug#K070-382-10-1Pin 1:10k with vertical operating range(see page 9).Thisdistance is measured from the bottom of the sensor body(i.e.the lower edge of the mounting plate)to the road or tracksurface. If the sensor is not within the operating range, loosenthe black levers at the magnetic holder and reposition themounting unit so that the height is correct.3.Insert the sensor mounting screws(included in the scope ofdelivery)through the mounting holes in the sensor, then into theholes of the mounting plate and tighten the screws with an allenwrench(size 4 mm).It is definitely recommended to use thePolyamid washers(also included in the scope of delivery).Fig.2Fig.3Fig.3a4.Adjust the sensor mounting plate so that it is perpendicular tothe ground. The top of the sensor mounting plate is fitted withliquid level indicator for this purpose(Fig.4a).Fig.4Fig.4aliquid level indicatorUser ManualHF-250C/HF-500C/HF-750C Sensor 2009 CORRSYS-DATRON Sensorsysteme GmbH HFxC_m-072-073-078-p1-e-rev002 02/09165.Connect the signal cable to the sensor and route the cable intothe interior of the vehicle to the sensor electronics device andconnect it there too. Now,Your HF-xxxC Sensor is ready foruse.6.In most cases it will not be necessary to use a safety line as themagnets hold automatically fast to the(metal)vehicle body.If you think it is indicated to use a safety line, you may mount itas shown in Fig.6.Pay atten-tion thatthe
