Unitl听力课教案Choose a School Club一、 Teaching Objectives:1. Students will be able to understand and participate in conversations about school clubs.2. Students will be able to express their interests and preferences when choosing a school club.3. Students will be able to identify the advantages and disadvantages of different school clubs.4. Students will be able to use appropriate vocabulary and grammar structures related to school clubs.二、 Teaching Key Points and Difficulties:Grammar structures related to expressing preferences and advantages/disadvantages of school clubs.Engaging students in conversation about school clubs and encouraging them to express their opinions.三、 Teaching Process:1. Warmup (5 minutes) Begin the class by asking students about their hobbies and interests. Encourage them to share with their classmates. Introduce the topic of school clubs and ask students if they have heard of any before. Write their names on the board. Ask students to brainstorm some mon types of school clubs that they can think of, such as sports club, music club, art club, etc. Write these on the board as well.2. Listening Practice (15 minutes) Ask students listen to the first two conversation and choose the right answer in activity 2. Ask students listen to the conversation 3 and plete the activity 3. After listening, ask students to discuss the main points of the conversation and share their thoughts about the studenfs choice of club. Record their answers on the board or on a piece of paper. Discuss any difficulties they encountered while listening and try to clarify any misunderstandings using the key words and phrases from the audio clip.3. Production (20 minutes) Divide students into small groups of three or four. Each group should choose one type of school club from the board (e.g. sports club, music club, art club). Assign each group a specific role: one person will be the club leader, one person will be the member interested in joining the club, and one person will be the club advisor or teacher. Give each group a set of questions related to their club (e.g. What are the benefits of joining this club? What skills do you need to participate in this club?). Ask them to answer these questions in a short dialogue between the two roles they have been assigned. Allow time for each group to practice their dialogue and record it on a recording device or on paper. After all groups have finished practicing, gather them back together and play each group's recorded dialogue for the class to listen to and provide feedback.4. Consolidation (10 minutes) Review the key points and difficult aspects discussed during the lesson. Ask students if they have any additional questions or concerns about school clubs. Encourage students to think about which type of school club they would like to join based on what they learned during the lesson. Write their choices on the board as a class activity. Distribute a handout with some sample questions and answers related to different types of school clubs, such as sports club, music club, art club, etc. Ask students to read through them and practice answering these questions in pairs or small groups.5. Homework (5 minutes)Ask students to write a short paragraph about why they want to join a particular type of school club and what skills or knowledge they hope to gain from participating in it. They can share their paragraph with a parent or guardian over the weekend.
