I am going to introduce my lesson from the following aspects:1. Analysis of teaching materialsThe unit is from PEP English book, the first semester in grade 4. It' s a spelling lesson. It mainly talks about the pronunciation of the vowel letter a in the relative open-syllable words.2. Analysis of studentsStudents in Grade 4 are active and curious to new interesting things. So I will use various interesting games to attract their attention. They love English and my class. After learning English for one year, they have already learned the pronunciation of 26 letters and the vowel letter a in the closed-syllable words. Therefore, this lesson is an extension of third grade textbooks.3. Analysis of teaching aims and demandsAccording to the New Curriculum Standard in English and the analysis of teaching materials and students, I set three teaching aims:1 1) Knowledge aims:Students can master the pronunciation of the vowel letter a in the relative open-syllable words.2 2) Ability aims:Students can finish the listening activities and read the words according to the spelling rules.Students can explore the spelling rules actively and use them in the daily life flexibly.3 3) Emotional aims:Students will like spelling and speaking. And they can find the beauty of the language.Students will enjoy communicating with each other in English.4 Analysis of teaching key point and difficult pointThe key point is to master the pronunciation of the vowel letter a in the relative open-syllable words.The difficult point is how to help students to know the spelling rules and methods.5 Analysis of teaching methods and learning methodsI' 11 mainly use “Task-based teaching methodv and Situational teaching method” . I will do my best to diversify the forms of the teaching activity such as pair work and group work and to make sure that the students are the real masters of the class.6 Analysis of teaching aidsIn order to attract students' attention, I will use multi-media and letter stickers.7 Analysis of teaching proceduresNow, let's move to the most important part of this lesson: the analysis of the teaching procedures. This part is divided into 5 stages, that is, Warming-up, Presentation, Practice, Development and Homework.Step 1 Warming-up1. In this stage, I will greet students as usual to create an English learning atmosphere for the students. Let students enjoy a phonic song-Letter A. It can arose students' interest of learning. Listen to the tape and pick out the closed-syllable words of the vowel letter a. Let students have a comprehensive revision of the pronunciation of the vowel letter a in the closed-syllable words. At the same time, put the five closed-syllable words and a /se/ on the blackboard.(1) T reads these sentences . My name is Lily. My face is red. I like cake. I can make cards. There are three tasks for Ss. Taskl. Let Ss circle the words according to the pictures. Task2. Let Ss try to read these words and then read after me again. Task3. let' s notice, consonant + vowel +consonant(except r)+e(no pronunciation) the relative open-syllable words.(2) Story timeIn this stage, I will make up a story. Firstly, I will show some key words of the story for students, let them try to read these words. They can have an imagination about the story. Why the girl is sad? Then I will show the video of the story. I analyse the story in several pictures one by one. Let students read after the tape. Let students pick out those words of the vowel letter a in the open-syllable words.Put the words on blackboard. After that,It, s the thinking time. Let students find the common point. Yes, they are a-e words. Think about the pronunciation of the a-e words. Finally,Lets chant. Make a summary about the pronunciation of the vowel letter a in the closed-syllable words and the relative open-syllable words. It' s a good combination of the phonetics teaching and the picture book teaching.Step 3 PracticeIn this process, I will let students do some group works. Activityl, Send monkeys to their home. It can enliven the classroom atmosphere. It also can let students consolidate new knowledge. Activity2, Read, listen and tick. It comes the textbook, Ss can do them on their books, it can develop their listening skills. Activity3, Listen, circle and write. Ss do them on the books too. It can improve students' listening and writing skills.After learning the new knowledge, I will design some interesting games to develop their ability of spelling. Gamel: Word-speaker. I' 11 provide some words of the same spelling rules on pronunciation and let Ss spell them out. Game2: Find /eTwo students in a pair and find a-e words, then click it. It you are right, you can get the goals, if you are wrong, you will lose the goals. Game3:Make up the relative open-syllable words of the vowel letter a as many as you can by using the letter stickers. For example, d-a-t-e, date.Step 5 Homework(1) Read the words today we have learned.(2) Retell the story to your parents.8 Analysis of blackboard design1 design two parts. One belongs to /ee/, the other belongs to /e/. It' s easy for students to understand.
