Students will be able to express their opinions about historical sites in English.3. Students will be able to use appropriate vocabulary and sentence structures related to the topic.IL Teaching Difficulties and Key PointsThe key point of this lesson is to improve students1 ability to express their opinions and ideas in English. To achieve this, we will use a variety of teaching methods, including group discussions, presentations, and debates. We will also introduce relevant vocabulary and sentence structures related to the topic.IH. Teaching Process1. Warm-up (5 minutes)Start the class by asking students if they have ever visited any historic sites or if they are interested in visiting some. Encourage them to share their experiences and opinions.2. Presentation (10 minutes)Show a short video about a famous historic site and ask students to listen carefully and take notes. After the video, ask students to share what they heard and saw. Then, introduce some new vocabulary related to the topic.3. Group Discussion (15 minutes)Divide the class into groups and give each group a list of questions related to the topic. Ask each group to discuss these questions and come up with their own answers. After the discussion, ask each group to present their answers to the class.4. Debate (10 minutes)Form two teams and assign one team as the "historic site'* team and the other team as the ''pro'' team. The "historic site" team should argue why they think a particular historic site is important, while the "pro" team should argue why they disagree with that opinion. After the debate, ask both teams to present their arguments and answer questions from the class.5. Wrap-up (5 minutes)Summarize the main points of the lesson and ask students to reflect on what they have learned. Encourage them to visit some historic sites if they haven't already done so.IV. HomeworkAsk students to write a short essay about a historic site they have visited or would like to visit. They should include information about the site, their opinion about it, and why they think it is important. The essay should be at least 80 words long and should be written in English.V. AssessmentAssess students1 understanding of the topic through their participation in the class discussion, debate, and homework assignments. Also, assess their ability to express their opinions and ideas in English using appropriate vocabulary and sentence structures.
