45、荣、文化昌盛的时期，在这个时期中国古体诗(格律诗)的创作达到了鼎盛。唐诗语言优美、文字流畅、意境高雅、情感真挚、思想开放而深邃，是中华民族文学宝库的精华，也是绽放在世界文苑里的一枝奇葩。诺贝尔文学评奖委员会主席埃斯库马克盛赞中国文学独特的艺术美时曾说:“世界上哪些作品能与中国的唐诗和红楼梦相比呢?”唐诗作为瑰宝，具有丰富的人文气息和艺术之美。诗歌的意象为诗歌美的重要体现形式，而意象的翻译直接关系到原诗美的传递。本文从美学角度出发，着眼于诗歌“意象”的定义和审美特征，阐释了诗歌的意象是人的存在形式通过“赋比兴”等手法而进行的诗意的表达，而人的本性和事物的异质同构的特点使诗歌意象的翻译成为可能。通过结合唐诗英译的例子，通过对译本分析并总结出，诗歌意象翻译中对原诗意象和意象背后的意境的理解是关键，在实践中还要结合译入语境对意象作阐释或调整，这些策略对诗歌翻译有着重要的指导意义，同时翻译的过程属于文化再现的过程，应该将文化背景纳入考虑范围，做到形美意美的统一。 1. 目的及意义 随着汉语热在全球升温以及孔子学院在世界各地的不断落户，外国人对中国文化的兴趣越来越浓。 唐诗
