7、ink?)(The purpose is to arouse Sss attention and interest in todays topic and to create an authentic scene to motive ss to write in reality. In addition, the language elements on asking and giving advice can be introduced naturally during the munication.)Step 2 brainstorming (8mins) Divide the whole
8、 class into 8-9groups of 5 to discuss about how to form a band. They can write down all possible ideas that pop to their head related to the topic on a piece of blank sheet. For example The name for your band. Who will play what instrument and who will sing. What kind of band you will be: e.g. a roc
9、k band or a group of singer? Chose a representative song for your band.(In the brainstorming session, Sss mind can be broadened and their thoughts can be inspired by each others sparkling points, thus gathering enough materials for writing so that they will have things to say.)Step 3 mapping (5mins)
10、Ask Ss to organize their ideas from brainstorming. They can either make a diagram or an outline. E.g.(Mapping will give Ss the opportunity to select from the list some useful ideas to be included in their writing and also to see how these ideas can be put together in a coherent or logical way.
