Every four years, a hundred or more countries send their best sportsmen to compete for the highest honors in

2、sport. There is honor for all who compete, win or lose. That is in spirit of Olympics - to take part in is what matters. At the opening ceremony, the custom is for the Greek team to march in first, for it was in Greece that the Olympics began. The team of the host country marches in last. 这一段内容为大家所熟

3、悉的奥运常识，句式没什么难点，即使不怎么听得懂也都应译得出。但考生表现令人大跌眼镜，如有的译成“奥运会每年举办一次”，或“上届获奖最多的国家走在最前面” ，或“闭幕式上宣布明年举办地”等不一而足。还有相当一部分考生漏译“for it was in Greece that the Olympics began”（希腊式奥运会的发源地）这一句。撇开知识结构不平衡不谈，考生的表现反映出临考时过度紧张、不善于应变以及翻译时拘泥字面、缺乏整体逻辑的问题。 The competitions begin the next day. 13、，恪守维护世界和平、促进共同发展的外交宗旨。/ 本段中汉译英常考句型包括：“经过”，“与联系在一起”，“不管”，“高举旗帜”，“奉行政策”，“恪守宗旨”；短语包括：“历史性的变化”，“独立自主”，“风云变幻”，“维护世界和平、促进共同发展”等。本段考生译文出现的问题有：“坚持、奉行”译为insist，“发生”译成happen，“称霸”译成be the one，甚至be the most big city。就高级口译考试要求而言，这些错误不属于口误，恐怕是不可原谅的。中华民族的复兴对世界不是威胁，而是机遇和贡献。我们始终秉持国家不分大小、强弱、贫富，一律平等，尊重各国人民自主选择发展道路的权利。
